This place my wife and I are addicted to. I'm am very picky when it comes to taste and portions of my food, this place has it all. The taste of the pulled pork and beef brisket are to die for. Simply put its amazing, the price and potions are very reasonable, I have never been disappointed. The staff are also always friendly. Keep up the good work as a local I will always go back.
Hidden Gem! I needed a place to help us to with our wedding rehearsal dinner in Chestertown Maryland.. only problem is - I thought I was calling another pit stand. Wow- was I happy when I realized the mistake I made. It's The Pit's has some of the best brisket I have ever tasted. We had it, and two other meets for our dinner - and the brisket was gone in minutes. Absolutely delicious. We now stop every time we are headed to the beach. Can't recommend this place enough. Thank you guys!
It's the Pits catered my wedding. They were very reasonably priced and the food was amazing. We had so many guests tell us how great the food was. One of our guests is likely using them for her own wedding. They were very professional and courteous. They exceeded expectations.
Great small local take-out place with a few picnic tables outside during the warmer months. Personally, love their ribs which are super smokey and delicious. Mac and cheese is delicious as well and their homemade ranch is to die for! Crabs are reasonably priced during the season as well.

Doug and Kevin were wonderful to work with! I hired It's the Pits to do the catering for my wedding on the Eastern Shore. I really enjoyed working with them! They made planning the menu so easy. With so many food options I was able to plan a delicious meal within my budget. In addition they worked with me to provide additional services and made excellent, helpful suggestions. With my husband's Celiac Disease they were cognizant and respectful. They had so many options that were naturally gluten free we didn't feel like we were compromising on our menu. We had balsamic veggies, potato salad and baked beans. Their macaroni and cheese was the BEST (it was my one gluten-filled side option). We also had the brisket which everyone raved about the most! My favorite was also the smoked chicken! We barely had any leftovers! Our guests were so full and so satisfied. We had the best reviews on our food. And Kristen and Alison were lovely. They took care of my husband and I all night. They were sensitive to his wheat allergy and made sure they handled his food with care. And when it came to cutting the cake they even brought us designated utensils for our GF cake. They took care of all the behind the scenes work so I didn't have to worry for a second! All of our guests raved about the excellent service, the hard work of those girls, and the delicious food we served. I'm so glad we picked It's the Pits, the food was a unique choice with so many options! They were a significant part of our wedding day and made it so much more enjoyable and original. From the tastings to the final touches the week before, I couldn't have been more pleased and felt like such personal service was offered. Thank you so much!
Their seafood gumbo is the best I've tasted outside of my home state, Louisiana. Who-Dat fans know good gumbo when we taste it! Each time I visit my boyfriend on Kent Island, seafood gumbo is a "must-have" menu item. Ribs are great, too.
Love this place. Crabs are excellent, beef brisket is fantastic, pulled pork, chicken and turkey are great too. Really nice people.
