The place is good - not necessarily stellar, but it's still a good place to go. The menu has a large variety, which makes it great for a date where you both can't decide on what you want to eat. The windows and seating arrangement somehow made the place feel far larger than it looks from the outside (no Doctor Who joke intended).
Pretty good for chain restaurant. Most of their beer isn't that good. they do have tons of beer though that isn't their's.
Great food and restaurant until Norman crunched on broken glass from his water glass. Offered to replace it with another water without glass in it!! Don't expect them to go above and beyond.
BJ's gets it right every time!. Went to BJ's for a slice of deep dish goodness. It's as expected: Delicious with good service.
Hostess sat us near jabbering 2 year old. After I requested, she thoughtfully relocated us to a quieter adult section.
The pizza was the classic combo. Sausage, peperoni, and mushrooms. Ratio of cheese to sauce to toppings was perfect. Soft, crunchy, buttery crust.
Now for the beer: I had an Irish red ale that was so smooth and full bodied. Excellent! So many times the beer is an afterthought in the restaurant brewpubs. BJS gets it right!
Great place. Food was very good. Huge menu. Try the Ahi Poke appetizer. Yum. Topped off with the fish chips. Server Shelby was courteous, knowledgable, and attentive. Was my first visit and will certainly not be my last.
Their brews were mediocre (I tried the blonde, red and porter). The food was great though. The deep dish pizza was good (not spectacular, but still very good). Where this restaurant surprised me (being that is a chain) is with the avocado egg rolls. They were fried just the right amount and were served with a lightly sweet and tangy dipping sauce (it had a honey taste to it).
Fantastical!! The deep dish pizza is worth driving 45 minutes for!! Highly Recommend it!!
Awesome Pizza. I know this place is more famous for it's brew, but I'm not a drinker. I'm an eater! So we tried one of their deep dish pizza's called the BJ's Favorite. It has everything, oven-baked meatballs, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, white onions and seasoned tomatoes. I love deep dish pizzas and this ranks with the best. The combination of meats with vegetables is just right, and has so much flavor. The crust is soft, but has a great texture to it. This is one filling pizza! The service was great from start to finish, and the atmosphere was great. The place has the feel of an upscale sports bar, but is not out of control with the TV's. Looking forward to dining there again.
Choose Brews. BJs cooks great, hearty food made with a lot of the beers that they serve.
As for the "its a little too corporate" comment, I feel like that just means its consistently good. The food is fresh-- great veggies and meat. Avocado egg rolls are the ish and any of the lettuce wraps are perfect for sharing... although you probably won't want to.
Yes! Avocado egg rolls... Yumm
