Relaxed, comfortable neighborhood coffee shop. Friendly staff, excellent coffee, very nice beer menu, pastries, and the patio is perfect on a warm day. Really like Stouthause Coffee.
I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place. My husband and I love and frequent this place. It's a place where you can get coffee and beer. It's a place where you can catch up, take in some fresh air outside on their patio, or do a little work. It's kind of a classy, yet relaxed atmosphere with a small bites they offer like tamales with goat cheese, and chips and salsa, etc.
Really enjoyed my mocha with almond milk. Believe me, I have had my fair share of disappointing coffee in Austin, but was pleasantly surprised by Stouthaus today! Lovely barista and cool atmosphere. Love the little swirl on top of the latte they did for me, which normally is hard to come by when sweetened with a dairy-free creamer...give this place a chance!
Try the bialys! Great draft beer selection and espresso. They have Quacks pastries but also stuff from three more smaller scale bakeries. Lots of seating inside and out.
This cute coffee shop down south has great coffee!!! I'm so happy south Austin finally got a coffee shop that people will love! They also serve beer and select food items.
I stumbled upon this place and I’m so happy I found it. Sometimes Starbucks just ain’t it and you need something real and soulful. Well say no more because this is where it’s at. The ambiance, the staff, the aesthetics and aroma of this place pale in comparison to the flavor of their drinks but rest assure that all the aforementioned are of the highest caliber. This is a great place to study, relax and/or wake up at. You can’t beat this coffee with a million bucks
Hands down the BEST coffee shop in south Austin!!! This is our family’s favorite chill spot. The baristas are super friendly and know you and your order; bonus is that they are all cool people with varying interests/hobbies. My partner gets an espresso every time, I love their masala chai latte and Mexican mocha, and they make my 6 yr old the yummiest “steamers”. As an indecisive person when it comes to new drinks, I appreciate them explaining new drinks to me and what flavors go together. They have Taco Deli tacos which taste better here because they’ve been in the heater and the cheese is melted and yummy. Their selection of bakery items are excellent and they just started making delicious milkshakes too! They also sell handmade goods such as mugs and soap which are perfect for a pick-me-up. They have an indoor and outdoor seating space which is a nice perk. Love, love, LOVE this coffee pub!
Excellent shop. This is the best shop south of downtown. If you live south come here.
Quality of the cup is top notch and their matcha late is also ON POINT if you’re not feeling coffee.
Also a small side note that I love- their tip screen is set up with 1, 2 and 3 bucks. THATS HOW IT SHOULD BE!
Simple and straightforward. These places wanting me to tip 5 bucks for a drip coffee are FREAKING NUTS.
2nd side note about the guy below me. If you put a shot of espresso in a drip coffee it’s gonna be sour. Don’t put a shot of espresso in freaking drip coffee if you want any sort of decent tasting experience.
Was looking for a coffee spot close by after breakfast and this was the closest. Very cool vibe, and although it doesnt look like a grab coffee and go kind of place is 100% can be. They also sell alcoholic beverages and I think some snacks, but I didnt order food. The bar has hidden star wars references everywhere and is cute. The barista was awesome and th coffee was really good. Will definitely be back.
Great coffee. Super nice staff. Very Covid compliant. I popped in for a quick cold brew and noticed that they basically removed all of the indoor seating. It’s a bummer for sure, but nice to see how they have adapted. Plenty of outdoor seating and there is always parking in the lot.
When you want a real coffee shop with a real Austin feel (I ain't talkin' Starbucks here...), Stouthaus is it! Great vibe, super nice people and delicious coffee and pateries. Their beer selection is good too, but I'm alway here in the AM, so I'm only looking Boss!
I came across this place while traveling south. I highly recommend this place to try out their iced lattes and is a great place to get your work done.
