My wife and I ordered the curry goat and jerk chicken and the food was extremely tasty with good sized portions. Seemed very authentic with the flavor and ingredients. Kind of a weird atmosphere walking in does not seem like the most welcoming place and they serve their food in to go containers. So we went home to eat it. Food was delicious.
I got Jerk Chicken. Came w/rice, cabbage and some kind of sweet bread. I don't even eat bread much any more. Gluten sensitive. But I bit this stuff just to taste. ATE IT! ... (If I get a stomach ache it's my own fault). Nice folks, great food...pay/park on the street if you can, or make a deal with the private lot attendent (if you can). It is a very casual diner/dining experience - understand that going in. But two can eat and drink for < $25! And it's real good Jamiacan cuisine. 👍👍....
Maybe just a touch too Jamaican. The dining room has an all too real third world feel. I love the food and always partake of more than I had planned to eat. Most places, I eat half and take the remainder home. I catch a line bus out to Utica some days and my driver made a special stop to pick up Curry Goat before leaving town.
A little piece of Jamaica in Syracuse. I had the oxtail there which was ok. The potato pudding was alright as well. Has most dishes that a typica Jamaican restaurant has. I can't say much for the American cuisine as I didn't try any food from that part of the menu.
A hole in the wall with delicious good food in large servings. Friendly staff. Get the oxtails with rice and beans. All the plates also have a generous serving of cabbage. They also have desert for a dollar or two. A definite comfort food spot.

The Jamaican Diner good Lord what can I not say good about this place .... the minute you enter the establishment you can feel the Positive Vibes literally and smell the jerk chicken being cooked in the back invites you and entices you to look at their menu and take on the ambience. With a low murmur of Rastafarian music in the background you'll find yourself in a daze ..not wanting to leave the place. My intention was going here and get four Jamaican beef patties 2 for Me and 2 for my dad unfortunately for my father they're crispy flaky crust and flavorful filling prove too strong for me to resist. I literally ate all four of them on the car ride home. Reggie...the young man in the picture was more than willing to allow me to take a selfie with him and the resturant. He was extremely helpful and filled me in on some of their regulars favorites on the menu. I'll definitely be going back along with a few friends who's pallets I'd like to challenge with this little piece of Island Paradise here in the heart of snowy Syracuse.
You can tell from the aroma of Caribbean food when you walk that you’ll get a good meal. The ox tails were delicious. Great local business to support.
Down to earth place, friendly people, and delicious food. The jerk chicken was very good! We'll definitely be back to try the curry goat and oxtail.
This place has become one of my favorite places in Syracuse, its home away from home. Authentic jamaican cooking. Not always able to go there but when I am and I do, I'm never disappointed!
I love this place the food is great, I'm from NYC so I was glad to see a place that sells really good and tasty Jamaican food in Syracuse :)
