Oh my goodness, YES. Just did the $25 All You Can Eat and it was so worth it! The rolls are to die for and the tuna was the best I've had in NY. The sushi was well worth the cost and the service was amazing. Our cups were never more than half empty and the waiters we're superb. Will definitely be going back soon and recommend to everyone!
Such a cool way to get sushi! You sit around this counter and the counter has a revolving tray. Sushi is always passing in front of you. They charge by color of plate you pick up. There is also an all you can eat night, which is great because you can choose any plate and you don't have to worry about the color. The rolls were a bit spicy for me, but I am a little wussy with spice. Next time I'm there I'll ask the chef for some wussy rolls. The chefs are right in front of you so you can watch them make the rolls which is another neat feature. Worth a visit!
The atmosphere was clean and bright with a general feel good vibe. The sushi I had was very good. The mango had tuna in it and it was very refreshing taste that was both sweet and spicy. The she so hot roll also was very good. I like hot but this wasn’t super hot but very flavorful. My friend got orange chicken and it was good. My wife got bee bop ( Korean dish) and she loved it. The waiter was very friendly and helpful
The sushi was average, some rolls were above average though. We had a great time. You don't need to plan to spend a lot of time here as you can literally start eating sushi as soon as you sit down. Due to the prices, 1/2 price day would probably be the only day I would ever go. Still expensive, even without drinks. But all said, the service is great, the sushi train experience is awesome and it was a very clean environment.
Sakana-Ya is a fun experience with good sushi. It's nice inside and the SUSHI bar is fairly large with a good amount of seating. We did the conveyor belt for lunch on this visit. There's a solid selection of Sushi on the conveyor belt with a variety of prices marked by the color and design of the plate. It can certainly get pricey quick so I'd recommend finding a half price day to attend.
Service was fast as we got to sit immediately and the belt was moving. They are very quick to clean up the covers of your plates, but you'll keep your plates and they will total the cost at the end of your dining.
Nothing blew me away, but it was nice to try a wide variety of sushi dishes. I recommend giving it a go, I think you'll be pleased that you did. Enjoy!
The sushi and cheesecake were good, but it seemed like it was all the same sushi on the conveyor belt which was a bummer because I wanted to try more rolls.
IMMACULATE. Went here on my way to Syracuse Uni and it was genuinely the best meal Iv had in a long time. Bento box was AMAZING! Bigger than it looks on menu too. House salad dressing was also excellent. Fancy boba! Good service! :) 10/10
Unique sushi experience with fun concept, we went on a Monday and was able to order off the menu since the place wasn't as busy. The size of the sushi is a good amount. Service was okay and you can get a good variety of sushi as well
overall, good sushi and the service could be better since I had to flag the server a couple times to get my order after waiting a while. I didn’t see any automatic gratuity like what the other comments said, I made sure to double check my bill. I went when it was half off sushi so the total ended up not being much at all, worth THAT price but I don’t think it’s full price sushi excellent. I went with friends as a group and the place was quiet, clean, and the variety was nice.
My first time visiting and I cannot wait for the next! Quick, friendly service and absolutely delicious food. We also had the honeydew and mango bubble teas, which were a bit sweeter than those we've had elsewhere but still quite good. My boyfriend had the sake jelly shot which was certainly different: slightly fizzy, sweet-tart... interesting. We also happened to arrive when they were offering specific items for half price, which was a lovely surprise, too! Heartily recommend this restaurant.
Went here for the first time today and will be going back for sure! Family wanted sushi and I looked online and saw that this place had a conveyor and looked fun. Not only was it a fun experience, the sushi was excellent! Also, all the sushi was half price! all plates we grabbed were between $3 and $6.50. We tried 5 different sushi rolls and had two plates of fried dumplings. Or total bill for the 3 of us was $26.
Each color plate has its own price and you only pay half. This will be a staple for us moving forward.
Conveyor belt sushi! If that is what you are looking for then this is your place. Simple bar style seating around the conveyor and dishes that crawl around waiting to be picked.
The comparison between the menu items and the actual food items was hard, some of the dishes not really sharing a likeness with the images on the menu but still the food was good.
