My party of 3 called at 8 pm on a Saturday. We are visiting from out of town, they got us a table last minute.
Our hostess and wait staff were fantastic! Attentive, helpful and fun to talk to. My steak was perfect, my daughter had shrimp and grits also perfect and my wife had chicken riggies, she loved it. Thanks again for squeezing us in and for the great food.
By the way, the check was way less than what we spent the night before and the food was better and the portions were VERY generous.

First time at restaurant,very nice place from atmosphere, friendly service and food was amazingly good. Won't be disappointed. Enjoyed our New Years Eve 2020.
We had our wedding here yesterday and the venue along with the owner and staff were wonderful, very accommodating, food was cooked to our specifications and was delicious.
We had guests asking for menus because they can’t wait to come back!

Excellent food presented beautifully. They were unexpectedly busy as a group of (I would guess) 40 showed up without a reservation. Still, they got us seated promptly and our server worked hard. Even under the higher demand, she rose to the challenge to give us good, cheerful attention. Of course I had to reward her with a good tip.
The prices are on the high side. If you are on a budget, I suggest elsewhere. If you can afford great food and service, highly recommended.
Excellent service! Syracuse native visiting from out of town. Found this Steak House on Google. The food was amazing!! The kettle chips was a great choice as an appetizer and the Steak was cooked to perfection as well as the beef tips. I will definitely return on my coming up trips into Syracuse. This Steak House is a MUST, if you have not tried it yet.

Got last minute reservations for Valentine's Day. Lovely dinner. We had a small table next to the fire- very romantic. Staff was professional, friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had the duck at the recommendation of our server and it was to die for. The prime rib was excellent as well. I look forward to returning.
Me and my family are definitely returning. We went a few nights ago. We enjoyed burgers and steak. The staff is very helpful and good at there jobs. I hope that you all make the smart decision by dining at the Chop House.
There aren't a lot of places in Syracuse where you can get a dining experience like this. The menu is well thought out. There's a great variety in terms of dish pricing & complexity, so there should be something for everyone. I'm no sommelier, but for my taste, their wine menu was pretty good. Finally, the last thing I consider in a restaurant review: wait staff. Every employee I encountered was professional and at least pretended to enjoy their jobs. They were friendly, but the only issue was that it took way too long between ordering and and service: for the main course, dessert, and coffee. If they could shave a few minutes off the wait at each of these steps, it would be 5 stars. Worth checking out.
Dinner midweek, outside on a nice summer evening. Great French onion soup to start. Our wait staff was attentive with our drinks , waters and any thing we needed. The food was delicious. Here's what we had; chicken and waffles sandwich with sweet potato fries, he said it was perfect. I had the prime burger with kettle chips, very flavorful. She had a French dip, ample sandwich- lunch tomorrow for her. To my right he had the wygu beef burger with onion straws. This place is worth the trip, always very good, they know what they're doing.
