Came in for lunch Friday (12/15/17) around noon and was greeted by everyone in the café. My server was friendly and made good recommendations. I ordered the Calypso Salad and thought it was delicious. Perfect amount of dressing and the portion was just right. There was no wait time and I enjoyed the ambiance. I will definitely go there again!
Since the remodeling of the Palace Theatre almost a decade ago, there has been a number of attempts to place a successful cafe in this space. I always felt that a good healthy lunch time alternative for those working in the Eastwood Area in Syracuse would do well at this location. I am not sure what went wrong with the previous establishments that set up in this space, but The Palace Commons is well on its way to being the restaurant that will make a success at this location. For those seeking fresh healthy food made up with a gourmet touch, there is a little around here that could compete. The staff is friendly and you can sense their passion for running this establishment. The atmosphere is hip and pleasurable for lounging while you enjoy your lunch. For the workers in the area who want to get away with a decent lunch for under $10, including the tip, you should stop in here. I would encourage all those who work or live around the James Street Eastwood Area the stop on in during lunch time and give them a try. It actually wouldn't be a bad outting for those who are closer to downtown I wouldn't mind taking the extra walk or a quick drive up James Street. There's plenty of parking on the streets or behind the Palace Theater. I look forward to the Palace Commons becoming an established part of Eastwood.
I don't remember the last time I was greeted so warmly anywhere. the food was terrific and the chocolate chai was unlike anything I've ever had before. Pretty sure it's my new favorite drink. Will be back often!
The staff are cool as hell very good vibes
Always yummy food and friendly people. Type of place where you go often and everyone knows your name. Not normally a soup guy but these soups deserve a different name they are so good!

I've eaten here three time in the last couple of months. I don't eat away much and lately all my dining out budget money has been spent here. The food is spectacular. I've eaten the Rockstar every time. I tell myself I should try other items but this sandwich with the carmalized onions is so good I think I would feek deprived I I went and didn't eat one. The fresh baked pastry items are simply to die for. I'm the sort of person who eats desert first which is a problem here because then I want another desert after I finish eating mid do it in a heartbeat if my wallet were a tad bit fatter. If you're on the neighborhood, and everyone in Syracuse is in the neighborhood, and if you don't stop by to grab something to eat, well huh really are depriving yourself some delicious food. Man lucky you live here, sad if you don't eat at Palace Commons. Also this is a local business trying to survive. Go eat here it will help out a local entrepreneur. Do your stomach, yourself, and a local a favor eat here.
Amazing coffee and super nice staff, homey atmosphere. Dirty chai is great, way better than a lot of places around here and the drinks aren’t watery. 5 stars :)
The White Bean Spinach Tuscan soup was delicious! Thank you for your vegan choices. Wishing you all the best during these difficult times!
Waffle sandwiches are great as are their baked good. Real taste homemade while still maintaining a high quality.
I love this place.. great place to just hang, grab great coffee and really good food. The staff is friendly and it's a very comfy place to be! Love it!
