I was surprised with how low the ratings were on UrbanSpoon. This place is really good. Huge portions for very affordable prices. Great tasting food. The Cajun fries are awesome!
Super pizza. There is no ambiance to speak of at this restaurant, where the counters are sticky and the television blares. But the pizza is the best we've had in Syracuse: chewy crust, plenty of cheese, lots of herbs, very flavorful and they have a great variety. Their white pizzas are especially good. We've tried a couple of sandwiches and liked them, too -- but we keep coming back for the pizza.
Love this local hole in the wall. The food is to die for and you can tell there's a family behind the counter. Definitely my favorite pizza nearby, nice evenly thick crust and the topping are always incredible - classic NY pizza I would say. I love that they always have Fiddlehead beer on tap. The Greek god theme is pretty sweet too. Gyros and specialty sandwiches are great!
Added bonus - if you want to watch the game, you're going to see it on the TV inside.
Good fresh food. But wasn't cooked how I wanted it.
My favorite pizza place in the area. Today, I had my first Dorian's pie in 6 years. It was a joyous day.
I have bee going to Dorians after Syracuse basketball games for roughly 15 years. Tonight I had the pleasure of meeting the owner. They accommodated my family’s picky orders, treated us like VIPs and the food was of course excellent. The speciality subs and pizza are always fantastic. Hopefully we can have 15 more great years
The best slices in Syracuse, I encourage anyone to prove me wrong, reasonably priced, if you don’t want pizza they also have perfect gyros, and several Sandwich options all named after Greek gods, the Dionysius is particularly bussin, but French fries are, without fail, always perfect. On top of all that the side terrace is gorgeous in the summer the whole joint is a breath of fresh air you know it’s good from the moment you see what they’ve got on the counter and the owner is a genuine master of his craft, if you ever have a bad experience there it’s one of the rarest anomalies, and you probably did it to yourself, and if you aren’t sure if you want to try it I’m telling you right now, it deserves your business. They are the real deal.
I moved to Syracuse summer 2020. I ate at Dorians frequently and it was pretty good, nothing too special. But let me tell you, something has seriously changed about this place for the good in the past year. The quality and flavor profiles of their pizza are just insanely good right now. I have no idea what changed (management or otherwise) but they went from fine to fantastic. Good on em. It should be noted I always order full pizzas, never individual slices.
A legendary place among many. The Artemis w/ seasoned curly fries is a must try. A small will fill ya up, but if you want to impress your kids then show them how a real man eats and get a large Arte. A side of cheese for fry dipping is a nice add on. Pizza is awesome too. Can get it by the slice and usually have a decent selection to pick from.
A friend recommended Dorian's and when my fiance and I stopped, they were just about to close. They patiently waited on us and took our order. We grabbed some slices, food to go and scanned the menu. It appears that they have a great selection of food. We had the Greek slices and I can honestly say it's some of the best pizza I've ever had and that's saying something. The crust was perfect, the toppings done to perfection and just enough sauce with just the right flavor.
I can't wait to go back and check out more of their delicious food. I felt rushed because they were about to close but the experience was overall pretty great. Many thanks and hope to visit again soon. I definitely recommend this great little pizza shop
This might be the best pizza place in Syracuse university area. Worth the money. Loved the pizzas, loved the owner. Great place to grab a slice and a beer.
Huge fan of Dorian's, the BEST spinach/ feta/tomato pizza on EARTH. This is my go to pizza, but all the other pizza's on display look just as delicious! The crust is phenomenal, the don't scrimp on toppings like so many other places, and the people there are friendly, fast, and very helpful. Don't forget to get a square of baklava for dessert while you're there, its all home made and to DIE for. Great parking too, considering it's on busy and eclectic Westcott St, it's nice that they have an actual parking lot. Five stars isn't enough!
