WOW!!!What an experience. This family owned maker of sweet treats since 1920 is a MUST STOP for anyone looking for old and new tasty confections. They make many of their own freeze dried candy, and chocolate covered EVERYTHING! They also have old time "penny candy" and some real favorites. A great small and necessary business of the soul!
My husband and I had the pleasure to make our 1st ever trip to the Speach Family Candy Shoppe in Syracuse today. We met the candyman and current president, Michael Speach, a few months ago. We didn’t know about this lovely generational business until meeting Michael. We have nothing but rave reviews for this place. The handmade chocolate I chose was absolutely delectable. Speach’s creations are equally delicious and aesthetically pleasing! They made truffles for my wedding and I love sending a taste of Syracuse to my friends out of the area. The chocolate-peanut butter potato chips are out of this world. Also, I love that they give back to community causes!
Our family always chooses Speach Family Candy Shoppe for our special occasion and holiday gift buying. The family staff is always cheerful and friendly. We greatly enjoy shopping for the different kinds of "brickle" they offer. We buy edible gifts for our entire family and friends. Also, we enjoy the selection of Department 56 Christmas village pieces Speach's carries. Michael is always patient and helpful. We love our trips to Speach's and would highly recommend this local business.
Architectural firm I worked for, I chg thier Christmas gifts for thier client's instead of Harry/David because they're cheaper and support local companies. They have lots of goodies to choose from and great gift trays for client's no matter where thier located, they'll ship them in time for customers Christmas parties. They add a plastic ornament to each tray, nice touch.
Assortment hanmade candies and a lot of the packaged stuff you buy in the store. The space is small so more than four or five can make a crowd. The hanmade choclates are really good and made in a wide variety. Be ready to pay for it though. Sign at the counter 41 a lb.
This is the very best candy shoppe I have ever been too! And the gourmet truffles are the most delicious thing I think I’ve ever had!
Huge selection of yummilisous chocolate and candies. The store has recently riddled with vinal records added an experience worth visiting. Bye by piece or a order in bulk. Throughout all the 50 states.
Michael and the staff are a pleasure to deal with. Their products are second to none!
I stopped by Speach's shop to get some last minute holiday gifts and treats. We've had their chocolate covered potato chips before, so that was definitely on our list of items to get. They have a great selection of items. Chocolate treats that they make themselves, and out of other candies and confectionery. Selection was a vit limited due to timing and supply. Overall they had plenty to complete my gift.
