This is the best taco truck in Tacoma, the only reason I'm not giving 5 starts is because the prices have had quite a jump. It used to be one of the places I could stop and buy the whole family tacos, 5 of us could eat for $30-$35, now buying the same thing we always have time close to $60. Great food, the best, which is why I'll still go there over any other taco truck, but unfortunately not nearly as often.
I drove by Taqueria la Fondita and felt the urge to get some tacos. The staff were very warm to greet me, and answered any questions that I asked. I only live a few minutes away so I expected the quality of the food to stay intact. I was more than happy to have those expectations blown away. The tacos themselves were of high quality, and the meat and toppings were excellent. I also ordered a horchata, and I'm excited to say it was fantastic as well. If you're in a bind and craving Mexican food, this place will not do you wrong. I can't believe it took me this long to visit this place.
Best tacos in Taco-ma! Enjoyed getting a variety of tacos in the 6-taco plate — tried the pork, chicken, and steak. All were delicious but a little on the spicy side. The seating area is interesting as you are surrounded by walls covered with bootlegged DVDs. 📀🌮🌮🌮
