you will see how the owners, Lou and Colleen, pour their passion and love of tomahawk and Somo Lake in to their resort on the water. it may not be a vacation destinations in the state, but if u want relaxation, nature, tranquility and small town vibe, they hit a homerun. trust me when me and my fiance say it was one of the best 3 days we've had in a long time. the only way to believe this is to experience it first hand. u will not just be renting a place, but the experience and little bonuses that other places will charge u extra for. did I say pontoon. oops.
An amazing place to escape to...set on a gorgeous, peaceful lake, full of fun activities! From kayaking (which they provided the kayaks) to fishing, to a rope swing on an island in the middle of the lake....what more can one ask for? There also was a fire pit, a grill outside for us to use, outdoor picnic tables, a row boat available and we brought our own boat that we were able to dock there. Nice gradual water entrance by the dock so the kids could splash around in the water. Very clean, a modern look inside the cabin with a large window overlooking the lake and plenty of places for my husband and I and 4 kids to sleep. My family made wonderful memories that will last a lifetime! Lou, the owner was very accommodating, and was quick to respond to any questions I had. Would love to come back!
My wife and I stayed here last fall with both of our Labradors. The owner is very nice, the cabins are updated, clean, and very comfortable. The views of Lake Somo are beautiful, and the restaurant next door has pretty good food.
We were looking for a north woods getaway and Somo View exceeded our expectations. Very clean, very private, & very peaceful surroundings. Somo View gave us access to grills, kayaks, paddle boat, and a nice area for gathering with family for an evening fire pit. Plenty of sleeping accommodations and well equipped kitchen for a nice getaway. There isn’t anything that was missed by the owners to make their guests happy. We will be back!

Somo View Resort provided a wonderful place to get away from my suburban Ohio lifestyle. I had a craving to do something outdoors for a while and Somo View certainly helped me satisfy that craving. The lake was extremely peaceful. At the resort, there are two docks that are great to sit on and look out across the lake. There weren’t that many boats on the lake so the water remained still almost the entire time I was there. The still water also made exploring the lake by kayak easier. At night, the sky was filled with stars; it was breathtaking. I absolutely recommend visiting Somo View.
Spent weekend there, best relaxation and sunsets!! Very cozy and friendly environment. Already booked next year. Owners Lou and Colleen are absolutely wonderful. You will not be disappointed!
My family and I loved our time at Some View. Lou and his family were excellent hosts. They are very accommodating and make you feel right at home. The lake is beautiful and is not overly crowded. Our family is like most and needed some down time away from hustle and bustle, and this place allowed us to recharge and make unforgettable memories. We will be back.
