The quality and authenticity of the food was excellent, with the interior environment designed to match. I've been a huge fan of Japanese food for years and have eaten at numerous Japanese restaurants all over California and elsewhere. Yuzu easily slotted into my top 10 of all time. It was a hidden gem that I was grateful to have discovered, and it's a shame that they are no longer open. If anyone knows why they closed or if and when they plan to open another location I'd love to know about it. Otherwise, I suppose they had a good run. Bravo chefs and staff and Yuzu, it was a pleasure to have dined with you.
Lunch is great and price is good. Bento style. Good place for business lunch. Dinner is very expensive and everything has to be ordered separately. Not many customers at dinner time. Also, not a place to bring kids.
Highly recommend the Japanese hamburger, it's the best l've ever tasted.
Yuzu is a very authentic high class Japanese restaurant randomly placed in Old Torrance. They remodeled this area and everything looks great with convenient underground parking. While I don't think they sell sushi here, they are known for their hamburger steaks. Which as an American you wouldn't think sounded good but that my friend is where you'd be wrong. There are two choices: fuji apple ginger sauce and daikon. If this doesn't sound amazing to you, then they have a whole menu to choose from. Honestly I only go with co-workers and we pre-order and always get the same thing, but everything I see on the server's trays always look so good so no matter what you choose you can do no wrong.
The very best Japanese restaurant in the LA area. Everything is good here and freshly prepared. However, if you don't understand Japanese eating culture you might leave disappointed.
One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Love the duck and the kurobota pork. The atmosphere is so lowkey and the service...excellent. Just wish they were open more.
The staff were detail oriented and the environment was tranquil. Great spot for a calm conversation with good Japanese food.
