Where else can you go Downriver for a huge piece of fish and Free dessert for under $10..... No Where! Its an older crowd here but the service is fast and the fries are crispy.
Great food, great service!. I've been coming here for years. The food and service are wonderful and completely makes up for the circa 1978 decor. The George's omlette is wonderful and even tastes great reheated (very large meal!). The wait for a sear on the weekends is well worth it!
It’s been a long long time since I was last here; my wife and I stopped in and gave the lunch a try. First impression is that it’s a “local” place, most people are in their 60’s and the place is small but very clean and overly friendly staff. So how’s the food? To best describe it, it’s not chain food by any means, no huge plates of food or a bunch of stuff from the freezer. It’s a nice plat of food that you could expect to see if you went to your grandma’s house. The ham has been carved with a knife not a machine, the sandwiches are thick, and the food stands on its own without a lot of spices. So if you’re not expecting a ton of food, but are looking for a “home style” plate of food at a price that will break the bank, give it a try. A few added notes, the rice pudding is outstanding, fries are good but I wish they were fresh cut not frozen, the clam chowder was lacking a little on the clams, and most people focus on the breakfast which I believe is served all day long.
Super great priced really good food. Amazing meals for only $ 6 that comes with soup and salad and rice pudding a bread basket WOW the fish special are a buck more and the same deal WOW the breakfast specials and chicken with waffles really damn good and filling. over 30 years plating up the best home cooked meals downriver for prices unheard of, you gotta give them a try and yea they pack them in daily. Nope no George here, owned by Mike n Linda since 1981 plating up homemade comfort meals for all. Crafting feel good meals for you tummy n wallet keeps you coming back for much more. A throw back in time dine stuck with a 1970 look that has waitress calling you hun n sweety makes sure all feel right at home. Never had a bad meal or a unfriendly waitress had made us a regular for decades as you can look around to see many others are known by name. Famous for there FREE Dessert with every meal there Famous Crafted Rice Pudding loaded with Raisins n Cinnamon a real classic treat or choose Orange Sherbet or Vanilla Ice Cream , who does this anymore, only place I've found in my travels. A super selection of house made soups with the Famous so really good Italian Wedding Soup with mega Balls of Meat like no other, we often buy quarts to take home. My all time favorite is the Jumbo Walleye Fillets plated up every Wed n Fri is not to be missed,,,get this full meal only 8 bucks with Mac & Cheese, Veggie n Free Dessert oh my a steal deal anywhere. We also get the full order Polish Potato Pancakes only 4 bucks. Be sure to go for breakfast hey you can get it all day,, love them Omelets, Biscuits N Gravy along with loaded Breakfast specials for any size belly to be filled. On the corner of West n Fort sets up on a hill can't be missed, 33 years of Love always busy you must give them a try soon

They have wonderful home cooked food. Great sized portions and I always have to ask for a to go bag. The service is also inviting.
Food and service are both exceptional! I love eggs benedict; there aren’t many places that offer this on their menu. They actually have a couple eggs benedict options, and both are delicious!
This was a very pleasant place to eat! The help, waitresses and cook 👨🍳s were not young, but they were special! They were Pro’s, smiles😀 on their faces, uniforms, politeness and knowledgeable! Yes this idea 💡 was from yesterday’s era! The place was packed for g👀d reason, the food 🥘 was Definitely Delicious 😋! We ordered Blueberry pancakes 🥞 and sausage 😋, Fried Walleye Pike, coleslaw and French Fries 🍟. This place maybe a diner but it is a must try place the f👀d 🥘is DELICIOUS 😋!
Small and cozy little place. Food was excellent, waitress was very delightful. Everyone seemed in a good mood. They serve Pepsi products so that's a bonus. I highly recommend it, and I will be coming back.
First visit, I'm ashamed to say. Absolutely the BEST chicken noodle soup I've ever had! Great fish & chips and burger too but the soup blew me away.
This place has yet to disappoint, the food is great, the servers are nice and the entire restaurant has a small community vibe. The waitresses are more than happy to make jokes and conversation with customers and help you leave feeling happy with the meal and service you got.
Loved eating here. We live in Trenton and never went there. Will definitely go back. Huge menu, great staff too.
