I eat out a lot and don't often give out five stars. But this restaurant met the standard I set. The food has so much flavor and was beyond my expectations. Try the crisp, so good. Now no where is perfect and I will say I was disappointed in their salsa. It was to watery for me, I like chunky salsa. But everything else was perfect. Thanks and I hope to visit again.
The only reason I am rating the atmosphere a little low is because it can be quite loud, which is not generally an issue in a restaurant, but there was a SCREAMING child next to us and the parents did very little about it. Not the restaurant's fault!
First time in. GREAT experience, friendly staff, very cool, old school atmosphere. Authentic Mexican food that lives up to the hype!
Having to wait over an hour to be seated is completely unnecessary but that is the standard here. They could have easily expanded by now but I think the extended wait time builds them status. The parking is an absolute nightmare, very small and limited. The food is always worth it. The service has been pretty decent the last few visits. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large.

A bit of a wait on Saturday evening, but it was well worth it. Visiting from Phoenix and came here based on reviews and $$ $10-20 price point. Parking lot was busy.. good sign. Waited about 30 minutes, and observed many regular diners greeting the staff as they came and went. The staff even hugged some, so there's a real caring and loving family vibe here. Despite the rush, they did a good job clearing tables and seating diners quickly. The food came quicker than I expected. My pork chili was excellent and so tender. My wife enjoyed her pork chimichanga and son ate every bit of his chicken chimichanga. Will come back here if I have the chance.
Delicious, authentic Sonoran Mexican food!! Start with the cheese tostada with green chilies, always a favorite! Good menu with lots of options, large portions. Chimichangas, burritos, enchiladas, tacos and more. Combination plates are good options to try multiple items. Great flavors and sauces. Enchilada style recommended as an add on. Come prepared for a wait, especially on a weekend or evening.
Haven't been here in 10 years.. was hoping it was as good as I remembered... It was! This has been my favorite restaurant and couldn't visit Tucson without going here. I ordered the Mexican nachos and two beef tacos. The nachos were phenomenal 🤌. Honestly, cant go wrong with anything you order.
I was in Tucson for an annual athletic event, after which I have a tradition of enjoying an enchilada dinner. I chose Mi Nidito based on the Google reviews and was not disappointed. We arrived during the evening rush so we had to wait in the patio but were able to sip on margaritas while we waited. The wait also gave us the chance to converse with some locals who confirmed that Mi Nidito is the place to go for Mexican food in Tucson. The atmosphere was warm and cozy with the decor of a small, traditional Mexican casita. The food was delicious and the service was excellent even though they were extremely busy. I highly recommend if you seek traditional Mexican or New Mexican food in Tucson!
Very authentic, delicious, friendly, and colorful. The staff is here to help and have fun with you. The food is akin to homemade. Variety of soups is impressive. Dishes prepared went fresh ingredients and that reflects in the flavor of the food. Margarita is delicious and packs plenty of punch. Visiting Tucson and we are very happy we stumbled upon this spot.
