This restaurant was very speedy. I ordered the spicy tantan men extra spicy. It was very good. The heat was pretty good - not overbearing but noticeable. I had it as a combo with a salad and appetizer of honey-garlic karaage. The karaage was only three pieces and the salad was a little small. Regardless, it was tasty. The second entree was a honey-garlic karaage bowl which was very good as well.
It’s all about what you order and how you order it. I usually get the spicy miso tonkatsu with thin noodle, really rich and flavorful broth. A good alternative is spicy tantan men which is made with a sesame paste as the base; it’s a thicker soup but has a strong earthy yet balanced flavor.
The takoyaki is extremely on point and the honey garlic karaage hits so good. That being said, if you know what good ramen and ramen shop food is supposed to taste like then you know that Arashi is the best place in WA to go to.
Also, gotta show some love to the ladies that hold it down. The waitressing staff is very sweet, kind, and informative; don’t be shy to ask them about their opinions on getting the right bowl of ramen for you.
Amazing ramen, some of the best I’ve had yet. I had the Spicy Miso Tonkatsu, my wife had the Spicy TanTan, both delicious. Good service, good atmosphere.
Twas was my first time eating ramen that wasn’t in a microwaved’ cup. It was good. I had it medium spicy but it would’ve probably been better had it been really spicy. It has a slight smoke flavor to it and the broth is savory and hearty. I also had the honey fried chicken. That was a little salty for my taste but would go perfectly with a bowl of rice.
Always been a big fan of Arashi. In my hunt to find a good bowl of ramen in Seattle, Arashi Ballard first delivered for me. Now that I live south, at this location I can find the same firm noodles, delicious broth, and all around good flavor. Love Arashi!
