I didn't want to go to restaurant bc it looked sketchy from the outside but we decided to go in because it is closeby...
The chinese food passed my chinese standard. The walnut shrimp was not bad. The decor and furniture looked old and run down...so if u can get passed the appearance the food is not bad
As one review stated the decor is dated and the neighborhood has changed. I felt safe with my family and wasn't worried. Parki g is cramped with construction making a bigger lot for new stuff all around and is almost done. The food/restaurant eating in the area is interesting, the restaurant rating is 3 out of 4 but uses excellent, good, etc. So rated as good by the health inspector. On to the food, we enjoyed our meal and the menu is large with lots of familiar dishes.
Well, the food was good.
The thing is...it's kinda in the ghetto.
We ate in the bar because the restaurant portion was deserted.
It was very lively.
If you're looking for some free entertainment, there was plenty of colorful people.
It seems that they have regulars that go there alot and drink plenty, plus the crazy dude that was outside.
Overall, It was good. I will go back. The staff was great. And there was a woman named Diana that felt like she has the southern charm and was fully in control of the crazies.
I tipped well and enjoyed the experience.
We have been coming here for the last 17 years. While we ALWAYS order the same thing (house special fried rice) it is BY FAR THE BEST we've ever eaten.
The place is clean, food brought out quickly... There is an adjacent bar, so eat, drink and watch the game...
Will continue to come here as long as they're there!!
You can order your favor, and they provide the food is Cantonese style.
I have been going here since 1995. The place is a hole in the wall. There is a bar next door. It’s a mom’s and pops kind of place. I have eaten lots of Chinese food in the International District and this place tastes like how it would be back in China. The food tastes authentic and is served by 2 Chinese old women. Don’t let the dingy neighborhood scare you because the food is delicious and you will not regret it.
I read another review before I went and took his suggestion. I got the bbq fried rice and the Mongolian beef as well as pot stickers and won ton soup. Everything was really well done. Its definitely a great spot for chinese food.
