This place is probably my favorite Chinese in town. I believe they're under new ownership, but the dishes taste fairly similar if not better. I've tried a few different dishes, all of them have been great.
They have a special dinner for one which started at $9.25. You pick an entree and pork fried rice, and I think you can upgrade to chow mien for a buck. Service is very friendly, and the serving size is very very large. If you can finish this in one sitting, you need to be very hungry. Also it depends on what you get I suppose.
Give them a try, especially if you've been there before in the past and had a bad experience.
We started going here for the lunch buffet. The service here is amazing. Very friendly and helpful operators. The food is really good here. The salt and pepper fish is amazing!! Highly recommend.
Really really good. Large portions very fresh and very tasty will definitely come back the service was great we got our food faster than we expected and they brought the food out to our truck.
I've been a fan of Chef Chen's prawns with mixed vegetables for years, and the recent ownership change -- with a remarkable interior upgrade! -- has only made this modest family-run restaurant more appealing. They seem to do most of their business on a lunch buffet, which I've never indulged in, and take-out/delivery, but since I live in Winters, I always eat in. If you are looking for perfectly cooked Chinese vegetables, fresh & succulent prawns, tasty pot stickers, etc. in an attractive environment with friendly staff, this is the place for you. I try to eat there at least once a week. A recent conversation with the chef uncovered that the Chinese vegetables are delivered fresh from San Francisco on Sunday, so if you go on Sunday or Monday, be sure to ask what's in and the chef will stir up a special vegetable dish for you!
Great food, came in, got served immediately, the food was out in under 15 minutes, and everything was delicious. The items marked as "spicy" definitely are!
The food was pretty tasty, the owner was very nice and had recommendations and suggestions. Portions were big, I got full fairly quickly and had leftovers.
