I've eaten at Maurice's in South Carolina, Gates in Missouri and in Los Angeles, Chris & Pitts, Love's and Tony Roma's, to name just a few places. In Los Angeles, the VERY BEST place to get BBQ, was over on Crenshaw & Adams, at a shack called Leon's, which has long since gone. I thought I would never find another place which could equal, let alone best Leon's Ribs. Damn if this is the best BBQ, by far. This may be a tall and bold statement, but if you're on HWY 29, out between Gainesville and the Warrenton bypass, you'll kick yourself for not finding this place earlier. The pulled pork just melts in your mouth!!!

The Winter Soup is quite possibly the best comfort food I've ever had. The regular year round items are always great and the brisket is really to die for. Nothing fancy here, it is a true roadside bbq spot, but I doubt you will find anything to complain about.

I had a couple Navy buddies and their wives stopping by last night for a mini reunion. Smokin Billy hooked us up with brisket, pork, and all the sides. Great meal. Got rave reviews from all of us. Thanks !!!
