We stopped by while visiting Warwick on a rainy day.It was conveniently situated across the street from the old train station and outdoor seating was well covered so we felt quite corona safe, during our travels. The menu was interesting to start, but blew us away as we ate. We had eaten at a number of the finer local restaurants through our stay and felt this small establishment bested a number of them on taste, presentation and and originality. Highly recommend a stop for a bite.
Service was wonderful, Erin went above and beyond to get me seated. The food was amazing!!! Get the home made hot sauce, your taste buds will thank you.
So delicious! I had Fannie’s signature egg, side of sausage, and crispy potatoes. I haven’t had egg in a basket in ages and this was superior, thanks to the bread and fresh egg. Potatoes live up to the crispy name. My wife had a small kale caesar with added chicken. Perfect size, delicious greens, chicken, and the dressing made the whole thing sing. Everything was so fresh and prepared superbly—We got take out (because covid) but my egg was still ‘easy’ when we sat down to eat. Impressive. We’re living in the area temporarily and this felt like an old Brooklyn transplant, in the best way. For the brief moment I was inside the atmosphere was great. Everyone was friendly and wore masks. We’ll definitely be back and next time we’re getting a loaf of bread!
GREAT FOOD! They try to bring in organic, fresh, local ingredients and it pays off! The lentil salad that comes with many dishes is SO GOOD. The ambiance is very nice, too. My only criticism would be the long wait...
It's a cute place! Loved the art! Waitress was very kind and fast! Their coffee was delicious and fresh! Food was decent. Loved the bread! Wish there was more selection but also we got there at lunch time. But it was a fun experience!
The food at Fannie's is very local (with produce coming from nearby farms) and quite delicious. However, it's very difficult nowadays to score a table without having to wait 45+ minutes. I finally managed to go for breakfast by showing up on a Friday morning (get ready for a wait on the weekends), where we snagged the last table available. I understand that they're doing outdoor seating only as a precaution, but it is difficult-- even worse, the tables are in the shade of the building, so it was quite cold. The wait for the drinks (coffee & a dirty chai) was about 10 minutes and the wait for the food was also significant. However, when it did come, the vegetables were perfectly cooked and potatoes perfectly crispy. The bread smelled and tasted soft and fresh. The bill for two was about $60, so I guess you pay for what you get. Ultimately, Fannie's is a good place to come for a more unique breakfast, if you don't mind spending 1 1/2 to 2 hours doing so.
Oustandint lunch, definitely recommend the lamb loin with poached eggs and hash browns.
Desserts are phenomenal too, especially the pumpkin s’more cupcake.
Wow. We found another treasure in “upstate” NY. Actually top of my list now. Heavy focus on sourcing local farm ingredients. Hand made, classic recipes with a modern twist but not a twist just to twist. The steak sandwich was incredible. The steak was well seasoned and tender (for a non-prime cut steak). The garlic aioli just right (present but not over powering). Homemade baguette had great texture and flavor. Great side of lentil salad. Bamboo straws. Paper take out boxes. These folks care. Friendly service. Don’t change a thing guys. The world needs more restaurants like this.
