The restaurant is old but we’ll maintained. The service was perfect and the food was as expected (but not special). That doesn’t mean bad, just no surprises which is good. I sometimes hope for a wow but do like getting exactly what I order. I was surprised that I went with a non Napa Cabernet but they won me over. We had the tuna, Brussels sprouts with bacon, shrimp cocktail, and short ribs. Then a peanut butter mouse for dessert. You’ll have a good meal if you go and love the service, but for the price there is much better atmosphere wise. Atmosphere is important to me so that would be the only reason I wouldn’t go back. If they update the restaurant I would absolutely return.

This is a great Steakhouse. The food was excellent from the appetizers to the main courses to the desserts. My favorite was the 36oz Porterhouse Steak. I was coped to perfection and it melted in my mouth like butter. The chicken was prepared with a lite crispy skin and juicy inside. We also had the short ribs which were tender and falling off the bone. They have a very unique fluffy, buttery and cheesy bread that is a perfect starter. I highlighted recommend this restaurant for special occasions, but be prepared to pay the price for the great food and service.

I liked my filet mignon. It was cooked a bit more on half than the other, which was a bit disappointing. My partner felt the same way about their ribeye. We both asked for medium rare and that one half was medium. The potato skins were really good. The popovers were great! The burrata salad wasn't my style. Instead of tomatoes there were pickled currents. The toast was a bit burnt as well. Wedge salad was very good. You get a couple of amuse bouche items throughout the meal which was a nice surprise. The service was great in the beginning of the meal, but our second round of drinks took a really long time to arrive. We'd finished our steaks before they came and we ordered them with our appetizers.

What a wonderful experience we went on a Monday night which was perfect timing ! There wasn’t too many people so this was very intimate while also having the best service ever. I wish I could remember everyone’s name because I would name them all but our waiter Sarah and her team was amazing. The resturant is great it’s not dark like all the new age restaurants but not extremely bright WhT a comfortable mood. We got the American wagyu and the the Kansas City steak both were worth it and literally will have us coming back. We actually have plans next week to come back because this was such a great experience. We had a Ceasar salad and they were kind enough to split it for the both of us ! We also had this amazing bacon my goodness I don’t know what herbs they added on top but it was beyonddddd amazing. The price was worth what we got ! I can’t wait to come back and try something new For sides we got Brussels, macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach all were lovely I didn’t love the macaroni but my spouse did ! Oh I forgot to add they start you off with a little snack it’s the sweetest thing every and then they bring out this sort of bread. And man if we could get 20 we would’ve it was so good and they give you the recipe because they know it’s that good.

This was our first time dining at BLT Steak and certainly won’t be the last. The atmosphere is what to be expected of a typical steak house sleek, modern, and dim lighting. On arrival we were greeted by the front of the house, who were very friendly and easy to converse with. Next we were seated and greeted by our server, Sharon. Sharon was knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. They bring you an incredible bread course in the form of a popover (you’re even provided with the recipe!) For the appetizer, we were recommended the burrata. This was an excellent choice. The grapes really add an unexpected yet delicious element. One of the best burrata dishes weve experienced. For the main course i had the Japanese A5 Miyazaki wagyu. Another great choice. The sear was perfect, the seasoning was on point, and the steak itself melted in your mouth. My husband had the Australian wagyu strip steak. While no where near the taste quality of the Japanese, it was still an exceptional steak and one of the better he’s had. Since the rest of the meal had been impressive, we decided to partake in dessert. We chose the peanut butter mousse. We are always underwhelmed with dessert selections however this was the exception. The mousse was exquisite texture with even more flavor. The banana ice cream added a lighter element that blended seamlessly. The brûlée on the mousse is truly what made it, adding a slight crunch that leaves you wanting more. Overall, this restaurant provides the type of experience you would expect from an upscale steakhouse. The food was thoughtful and full of flavor. I would recommend this place over and over.

Absolutely fantastic dinner. I had the Cowboy, and it was cooked to perfection. The steak tartare appetizer was delicious as well. Service was outstanding. The peanutbutter chocolate mousse for desert was the best I've ever had. I will definitely return.

We needed an escape after a loss in the family, so we came to DC and our dear friends treated us to BLT Steak. It was amazing. We were greeted by a lovely hostess in a comfortable leather booth. I loved the soft lighting, clean and masculine decor, and unique light fixtures. The menu was filled with delicious options. We ordered the Cowboy ribeye with smooth and silk mashed potatoes and filet mignon with perfectly done asparagus. Everything was mouth watering! We also tried the BLT old fashioned and orange blossom beverages and they were hands down some of the best cocktails we have ever had! They were smooth and perfectly done. Our service was outstanding; Marco was very attentive and kind. I have food allergies so he was checking everything with the chef personally and made sure I was accommodated. We are beyond thrilled with this amazing dinner and would highly recommend it!!!! Thank you BLT Steak staff and management (and our amazing friends) for helping us celebrate the life of a loved one lost with a very special dinner.

What a great experience. Our waiter Isa (Isaias) was amazing along with the rest of the staff. We were there for my husbands birthday, this was our favorite steak dinner to date from Las Vegas. Everyone and everything was amazing. The Gruyère Popovers, we had Shrimp Cocktail which were just perfect, good cocktail sauce. The stars were our Cowboy Ribeyes, which we had with Hen of the Woods Mushrooms and the Garlicky Kale. Everything was just finger licking good. We ended with cappuccinos, their donut special and carrot cake which were all delicious of course. Not overly sweet. Hope to come back, everyone was very nice, attentive and the service was impeccable.

BLT Steak DC created possibly the best steak dish I have ever had in my entire life. I don't say this lightly, coming from Australia, and having eaten a lot of steak, from a lot of places. But Ricky, the incredibly gifted Chef (who you will want to either marry, or be asking to come live with you at the end of your meal), creates this exceptional blend of texture, taste, cooked to absolute perfection, it is so good, you realise that you are making sounds you shouldn't be making in public. But it is not just the steak - the asparagus and potato skins left you wondering if there was anything he couldn't create to perfection. Before the desserts arrived... We had a table of 3, each tried a different dessert - so we could each taste the others - but it was so good, that we were almost unwilling to share - until we actually tasted the others - and then we were jealous we hadn't ordered theirs. Served to perfection by some of the kindest, most helpful, and witty staff, who made the lunch just even more extraordinary, I cannot wait to be back in Washington to return here. Easily one of the best Restaurants I have ever been to.

Overall a good steakhouse. The complimentary popovers are okay, but the toast and jam/pate is off the hook! Nice surprise to start the meal. I ordered the hanger steak medium rare with grilled lobster and a side of Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were the best part of the meal. The steak was flavorful but tough. Probably sliced incorrectly. The lobster was nice, but a tiny accent, not worth the $20 extra charge. Let’s be honest though, you’re not eating here if your counting dollars. I also had their house old fashion with a rum base and their house manhattan. Both good, but not special. Would benefit from premium ice. Service was prompt and friendly.
