Invited by a member for dinner. A really nice old school club in the heart of DC.
Many lovely old rooms to explore that were furnished in a décor that harks back to a bygone era.
Very good food and service in the restaurant, there were at least two separate bars too.
Overall impressed with the experience. Loved the library!
Worth a visit if you're able to.
The Cosmos Club is like stepping into another time and place. Elegant, sophisticated and beautiful. This is a private club and we were there for a wedding reception and it was a wonderful venue to hold this type of event.
This place is pretty amazing! I love the dumplings that have squash and mushrooms. One order of 12 dumplings Is more than enough for one meal. Lots of people order to take home and serve at a party later.
My husband and I were guests at Cosmos Club recently for dinner. The staff were amazing and very attentive. The menu had great options and made it hard to pick! We also enjoyed coffee and dessert. We loved the atmosphere, the food, and the people.

We've photographed weddings at a lot of luxury venues around the DMV, and we can say with certainty that the Cosmos Club can go toe to toe with any of them when it comes to elegance. The bridal suite has all the amenities of a room in a five-star hotel, the Warne Ballroom has gold accents and huge mirrors inspired by the Palace of Versailles, and the various libraries decorated with nods to scientific achievement and local DC history combine to give every wedding there a sumptuous, luxurious feel. What's more, the small garden in the back offers couples a little bit of outdoor space -- a rarity at most DC wedding venues!
Truly a historic landmark with insights on history . Nice rooms with breakfast, lunch and dinner on-site. The staff is very professional and pleasant. You are not allowed to tip any staff and there are dress code rules when dining in the on-site in the dining area and in the library area. This is a members only organization for members but you may be able to stay if you are a member of a reciprocal organization. I enjoyed viewing the ballroom, library and other rooms in the club. Various art, photos and historical landmark items to view. Enjoy.
A lovely club that I've visited on several occasions and have never been let down. A very nice dining room with good food. Members that I've spoken to have all been welcoming and very happy to welcome a new face. Great place to visit when away from home
I went to brunch at the cosmos club on a Sunday and it was a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. There are several rooms that have the actual food available. There are lots of great offerings including omelet, seafood, meat/poultry, and dessert stations. There is even a food section for children. The dining rooms are spacious and meticulously decorated. You can eat as much as you can. Staff members are friendly and attentive. Christmas decorations were used throughout.
Really classy venue. Perfect for fancy parties
