Delicious chocolate chess pie! The filling tasted like fudgey-goodness. We loved it!! Only recommendation is the crust around the top edge was really dense and rock hard. It did not reduce our overall enjoyment of the pie but we did skip trying to eat that. We will definitely try other pies too!
I saw Pip Blom playing there and bought a ticket. The band is huge in Europe and ending their US tour. I expected a big venue. It was on April Fool's Day so i was suspicious. I walk into this small store, selling (you guessed it) pies, and asked, suspiciously, where the band was playing. The guy behind the counter said the gate will open when they're ready upstairs. The gate opens and we get instructions from the bouncer (masks, vaccine card, etc.) When I walked up the place was really small. Small crowd, great bar, top-notch music and I was standing right in front of her.
This place is very deceiving. When you walk in you think it’s a pie shop. But go upstairs and it’s a whole vibe. There is a stage and bar. Love music positive performer. The drink prices are not bad. Parking was hard to find but street parking was scarce.
Vegan pie options?! Yes PLEASE! We stop here every week or every other week and they seriously have the best fresh pie slices!!!!!! Whether it’s late at night or morning - they’re serving pie! The chess pies are amazing too!

I LOVE pie shop! I don't want to say what their best pie is because I don't need anymore ppl contributing to it being sold out all the time LOL but def a gem spot for pies 😋
Great atmosphere for shows. Staff are outgoing and respectful. They have a nice patio on the top level to go between bands to hang out. I have not tried the pies yet, but hear all of them are good.

I’ve been meaning to stop by this spot, so guess what...I finally did!! So this spot ( @pieshopdc ) specializes in...well...Pies!! They have savory pies like their Ratatouille Pie (with eggplant, yellow squash, zucchini, onions, peppers, garlic, fresh herbs all stewed in a zesty tomato sauce $9 a slice $40 for a whole pie), and sweet pies like their Strawberry Rhubarb Pie (fresh strawberries mixed with rhubarb $7 a slice, $36 for the whole pie). This spot Located at 1339 H St., N.E. Washington D.C., and on this day I copped 6 pies!! Hey I wanted to sample a variety of items at this specialty shop, and the slices range from$7-$9 sooo...6 pies it is!! First I snatched up 3 sweet pies, their Somoa cookie pie, their Mixed berry pie, and their Key lime pie all for $7 each. If you like coconut...get the Somoa!! Rich, creamy, chocolaty, decadent. Their Key lime pie was official!! Not too tart, not overly sweet. The mixed berry pie is an acquired taste, tart but the crust was decent. Ok so I also snatched up 3 savory pies. Their chicken pie (a grandiose pot pie), their Pamela’s tofu curry pie (with a savory rice, and cooked tofu), and their Mumbo potato pie!?! That on had homefry style potatoes, and onions with a Mumbo sauce on it that had a spicy kick to it. Three chicken joint was delicious...GET IT!! That’s it. The tofu joint was surprisingly tasty as well...fulfilling, and hearty!! The Mumbo joint was good...that kick made the difference!! Their whole pies range from $36-$40. Customer service was on point, I was greeted and my order was swiftly taken care of. Parking was ok, metered H street parking. I’m curious about their other pies...so I’m going back, and I suggest you give them a try.
