Johnny Black's Public House

My partner and I visited Johnny Black's in the middle of the day on a Monday. The building has large garage style doors along the side facing the street, so when the weather is right, these doors are open seamlessly connecting the outside seating with interior of the building. These doors were open on our visit, so we elected to sit outside. Now, it was the middle of the day so not busy at all so, I am only going to be able to reflect on that type of experience. Our waitress was a very kind, straight to the point type waitress, which turn out is my favorite kind. Our drinks and food were brought within a very favorable time window. I got the fish and chips (pictured), which were up to the standard of any other bar in this community. My partner got the Lakeside Chicken Wrap(pictured) which she found was also up to standard. Truthfully, the food wasn't life changing by any means, but it was also not a let down in any sense. Good quality ingredients and presentation, especially for a bar. The drinks is where Johnny Black's really stood out to me. I got an Old Fashioned (pictured) and my partner got the Prickly Pear(pictured). The presentation of these drinks was top notch. A lot of bars will make a classic drink like an Old Fashioned and not bother to garnish it. Johnny Black's does not fit into that category. Johnny Black's goes the whole way and makes the drinks right, and they make them strong. The Guiness I got (pictured) was poured perfectly. Don't judge the bar keep by my picture though, I had already taken a drink of it before I remembered to take a picture. I'm conclusion, I can't speak for the performance of this establishment during their peak times, or for when they're very busy. But I can speak for their food quality and drink quality while I was visiting, in the middle of the day on a beautiful Monday. I look forward to my next visit to Johnny Black's, and I would, and will, recommend them to anyone.

First time eating here, after having many friends and family rave about it. So glad we decided to try it out! Our waitress Heather was great and very friendly, the food was delicious. I had the fish tacos and they were AMAZING. You definitely get your money’s worth. We will definitely be coming back on our next kid-free night 😌

I am thoroughly impressed. This is now my second time at JB's. Both times I came for lunch with a small group. The first time I got the Dixie Chick, this time I got the perch. Let me just say, both were great. The food is as good or better than any restaurant around the area, and leagues better than most bars. The service has been great both times and the facilities are nice and clean. Five stars all the way.

Nice setting, large outdoor deck with open style seating (large doors open when weather is nice.) The burgers, fries, tater tots and sandwiches are great. The only thing I did not enjoy was the brussels sprouts salad, it was incredibly greasy and there was about a 1/4 cup of oil in the bottom of the bowl. Everything else I have had there has been excellent. Staff has always been friendly and attentive.
