Serendipity and a Waze directed detour off of I-95 enroute to Fort Trumbull found us motoring through Waterford and needing breakfast, so launched Yelp and found WPF Cafe. Accessing the rear parking lot by going around the fire station was a bit confusing, but when we found the lot packed, I had a hunch we had made a great choice. We were sited promptly at a table for two and since it was our first time, we got the run down. "Cash Only, ATM in the corner, self-serve bottomless coffe PLUS one to go." Okay, being a caffeind, I already was liking it. Great menu from typical breakfast fare to some more interesting choices. I ordered the Portuguese omlette and my daughter the Sausage & Gravy. Food was delicious, waiter attentive and quick, but my greatest compliment has to be how they made accommodations for a party dining with physically disabled patrons, both in wheelchairs, who were given a corner that probably could have sat three other parties. The sense of being a guest in their home and treated as such made it a pleasure to eat here and we'll come back again when given a chance. Bravo!

Well worth the waiting line. Food was great, our waitress (with blue hair) was terrific. We were visiting from Cape Cod and would highly recommend this place.
We LOVE this place. We visit it every time we are in town. FAST, friendly and the food sizes are much bigger than we ever expect. The coffee bar is the big selling point for my husband. You help yourself and when you are ready to go, you can take a to-go cup. OH man, he is in heaven with that!! My mom and I split the Sampler platter and they put it on two plates for us and added a pancake so we would each have one. VERY thoughtful place. Just love them.
Really enjoyed this place, lots of different breakfast options along with the traditional stuff. Fast and friendly staff too, self-serve coffee was interesting.
My only disappointment was the corned beef hash wasn't homemade. Everything else was as far as we had and it was great.
Great breakfast like the serve yourself coffee bar, good home fries
Look forward to eating breakfast there again, before I leave CT
Great little diner. Service was excellent and the food was even better!! Nice size portions at a very reasonable price. I got the sausage and gravy breakfast with garlic hash browns that were covered in cheddar cheese. (Delicious!!)
This place is obviously very popular because there were about 10-15 people waiting for a spot to open up. I understand why... this will be my go to place for breakfast whenever I'm in the area. It's worth the wait.
Amazing breakfast, home fries were so unique and delicious. The coffee station had 6 options including 2 decaf flavors! Unlimited coffee and you can even grab a to go mug! Great first time experience. KC was an incredible waiter, so friendly and personable. Highly recommend this cute place.
I almost prejudged this place after a colleague recommended it based on the outside appearance. It looks almost like a house / office building. And it kinda is. Thats actually the nice part. Inside feels as close to a home kitchen / dining area as it can be. You can tell the staff take care to cook the food considerably, the wait staff are attentive and don't rush you and the tables and chairs are from the 70s / 80s era. Totally reminded me of yesterday. I'd give it 5 stars but the coffee station is well, a station. You have to go up and get it yourself from those plastic dispensers. The quality is good but made it feel like fast-food. Not a deal breaker tho!
While price was on the higher side for breakfast, the food was great (the banana bread French toast is fantastic). All of the employees were very friendly, and attentive. Their coffee is also great.
The service was wonderful and food was great 👍!! I will definitely come back whenever in town.
