Poppy’s has been my go to place since I was in high school. I remember when I used to walk by and pickup my burger and fries for $1.00. It’s crazy how the owner still has the deal for the kids in school. I must talk about their grilled chicken bacon ranch! It’s my go to meal anytime I’m in the Waukegan area. Great taste and quality for your buck! Their chicken Diablo is always a good choice too if you’re looking for a spicy sandwich.
Their food is amazing!!! Their prices are incredible considering the high quality of the food. Personally, the grilled chicken on a pita is my favorite. They have a huge variety of milkshakes. There is something for everyone.
I love the cheeseburgers and i also got a root beer float and the size was bigger than expected I loved that
So good! Had the Chicago dog, Chili Cheese Dog, fries and a mango shake!! Service was great, fast and friendly! Will be back if we’re still working in town!
This place is a hidden paradise. Literally for $1 you get a burger and fries. I usually order 2 and can't finish all the food. Great quality. Friendly and fair. Highly recommended. Give it a try!
First time there. There was a short amount of staff which I understand. Nothing less, food was fantastic and I will be coming back there!/

Very inexpensive stand, the food is decent, the price is excellent. No frills, but when you're hungry, you can do without the frills. Pick up and go, or eat outside on their umbrella covered benches. Their half pound burger is really quite tasty, thin and crispy fries, yum, ccompared to the cost of other Burger providers, this is a big winner. Their Chicago dogs are also very good. Years ago, this used to be a shirls But the prices are much less than Shirls. If you only have a few bucks, this is the place to go. And, you can see the kitchen from the front counter, very organized and clean.🤔👍
Very friendly service. Also, a clean restaurant. Food was very delicious. I had ordered a loco nacho and a Maxwell polish.

Love the dollar burger and fries literally have to stop by before leaving the area to go back to Chicago it saved my life when I was homeless and back in high school. So I always tip em 💜
