This place is the best! There’s no such thing as a bad meal at High Street Caffe, as they know how to throw down in that kitchen. I live in CA now, but every time I’m in West Chester, I make sure I stop in for some amazing food, as Chef Wenner is a culinary god and I’d know as I worked with him for a spell, do it Jay!!!! I’ve also never left a job with tears of sadness and after my last night at High Street I sobbed all the way home. Don, Jay, Gator, Kev, Greco, and the rest of the staff were like an extended family. Nothing in all of my travels and experiences ever compared to the time I spent in that kitchen. Much love guys
French, italian, creole everything in one place!! Some guy "Wayne" was complaining because "Cole Hamels" got seated before him? LOL Hey Wayne bring the city of Philly a Championship and you might get a seat at this Cafe-Sh_t Cole knows where to eat!!! Rachel Ray was there too-sorry wayne Stick to Burger King Dude-LOL
*Compliments to the Chef, this restaurant's attempt to recapture the New Orleans hospitality down to the food was quite enjoyable. The staff was so great, from being greeted to seated, to bottle service, to menu recommendations.

Different Cheesesteak #902. If you like cajun, the High Street Caffe is for you. Very cool New Orleans decor. Lots of purple. The cheesesteak is $10 and comes with cajun fries. It’s cajun but not overly spicy. It has sausage, peppers and cajun stuff mixed in. Don is a great host. The waitress was awesome. She knew the menu and was very patient and helpful. I would go now while they are BYOB and the college students aren’t back. Carole was an amazing dinner date.
The food and service was fantastic. Had the Cajun alligator for starter. Cajun chicken, shrimp , scallop over a bed of dirty rice main meal. Shared cheesecake. Plan to go back with friends.
Great food and atmosphere ( highly suggest the blackened alligator in the appetizer section of the menu) the drinks are strong which is always a good thing and if you order a shot prepare yourself because they give you a nice cup of love. The only downfall is because it is a smaller restaurant you may feel cramped and on top of everyone/ lack of parking. Other than that you will not be disappointed.
Had a great experience, liked the interiors .
I'll give it a 4.5. That is no on the rating scale.
I ordered the following:
Homemade Cajun dumplings for appetizer : mix of gator, shrimp and chicken sausage, perfectly fried, dipping sauce was a bit bitter but good, dumplings not properly sealed but filling intact, but when u begin eating the dumpling opens up.
Pulled pork and baby ribs jambalaya for entrees: the rice was perfectly cooked (not too cooked or under cooked) , the pulled pork and baby back rib meat was really tender, it had good amount of meat and was chunky, the veggies in it (celeries, peppers and tomato) was not over cooked and had the perfect crunch .
On another day had their seafood soup for the day. At the first spoon hit all the right notes a combination of sweet and spicy. Same can be said of their wings a perfect balance of sweet and spicy though would like to have the chicken fry more. Had their chicken cashew with rice . A bit too sweet for me.
Awesome Cajun food and great staff also nice being BYOB so you can bring exactly what you like to drink. Highly recommend!
Oh my gosh I found this hidden jewel!!
I was transported to Baton Rouge!!
The jambalaya fettuccine had so much meat that I ran out of pasta!! The service was top notch as well.
Good service, good atmosphere. Shrimp in the jambalaya badly overcooked. Any skilled cook should know that shrimp can't be cooked for more than 2-3 minutes.
Fish was properly cooked
