We stopped by here after golf last night. It was hopping busy, but the service was superb and the food was off the charts and fast! We ordered fish tacos, empanadas, pulled pork and crab nachos. It was our goal to take half home. Ha!! Not a chance. This was not your typical app food. This was really good layered flavors of food. The pork shoulder was dream worthy!! And one of us is a chef in the business. We will go back!!!
Came across Four Dogs page today. I used to love, love this restaurant when I lived in PA. It was one of my favorite spots. Fantastic farm to table dishes, good vibes, down to earth people and I loved the reclaimed, colonial style interior. This place is definitely worth checking out if you are passing through town and if you are a local who doesn't know about it, I'd be surprised. Absolutely a fantastic place. Miss it terribly.
I’ve always love Four Dogs, especially the patio in the summertime. The patio is best when it’s not crowded (which is rare). Food and drinks are always delicious! Service this past visit was just ok and I do think some items are a bit overpriced for what they are, like crab cake special. The crab cakes are good, but not good enough to justify being priced over $40.
Started with rustic nachos which were very good and came served on a burned wood shingle. - very 'rustic'! French dip was good but could have used some salt but none was on the table. Ordered horseradish on the side in addition to the horseradish/mayonnaise type sauce. Glad I did as neither of them were very spicy. The horseradish tasted a bit old and weak.
Macaroni was tasty and more than enough. Would definition go back. I hope this helps you.
Great staff, great food, great drinks. Crab nachos are my go to when we eat there. Not regular corn chips, but crispy flour tortillas. Jerk seasoned wings are another good appetizer. Summertime outside seating another bonus, and you can bring your dog. I recommend four dogs to people all the time, no one is disappointed.
Had a great meal at Four Dogs Tavern, lots of outdoor seating and our waiter was super attentive. Both the mushroom and French onion soup were delicious. I was surprised how large the bowl of mushroom soup was. Also enjoyed calamari, broccolini and grouper tostada. Lovely setting and excited to return!
I love coming here and I highly recommend the fondue! It was plenty of food for two hungry people and may have been better for three people plus a small plate appetizer or something. The interior is great, the meals are impressive, it is all around 5⭐
Historic house setting - comfy, woodsy decor, friendly wait staff, prompt service. Fun and interesting menu choices including the specials. Meat loaf and crab cakes were excellent and the apple crumble and ice cream topped off an excellent meal.
Had a party of 16 on Sat 4/23 & the server was very knowledgeable about the menu, he always made sure we had what we needed & was very attentive. (Younger guy, dark brown hair & a hoop in his left ear) the food was great, with wide selection of flavors & everything was delicious!
Had a great lunch on Sunday with my buddy and our sons. The outdoor patio was nice and cool, and we enjoyed a few local beers. The smoked salmon gruyere sandwich was incredible! Well worth the price. My friend had the octopus which was seared and charred perfectly. The salad had just the right amount of dressing on it, something I appreciate. Our waitress got my buddies son some extra pickles, very kind! Overall this is a must stop for a meal. The chef is not messing around!
