This is the best place for classic knockwursts (the ones with natural casings so they snap when you bite). The topping bar features more than most other dog joints with sauerkraut and slivered dill pickles waiting for you with the usual chopped onions. The buns are always fresh and the fries are crispy outside and tasty inside.
That interior is decorated with model trains with old fashioned, coin operated displays. It is getting hard to find such places that preserve unique road-side attraction with quality food.
What a fun place. I was looking for a place to grab a bite between Exton and Philly and came across this place. Good reviews elsewhere too. So when I was traveling to Exton (from the midwest) for work, I mentioned it to one of my staff. He said that he heard good things too. The next thing you know, we are on our way for lunch. Quick and friendly service, and good food. We both had the Triple Crown plus an extra Specialty Dog (plain dog). The bacon, chili, and cheese on the Triple Crown were all very good. So was the regular dog. Choices of a couple of mustards, ketchup, sauerkraut, raw and toasted onions, and great pickles to top your dogs with. They also sell other foods and ice cream which seemed to be popular with some of the kids we saw. The atmosphere with the "old vibe" and the trains made it quaint. I'd go back again.
My father used to take me to Jimmy Johns when I was a little girl and I have to say even today when I go there I am just like that little girl inside of me. I LOVE Jimmy Johns its a place you can have good food and lots of smiles. Keep you the great work guys. Jimmy Johns rocks :)
OK, I take a lot of crap from folks about jimmy john's.. People ask... hot dogs??? How can they be special?? Yes, hot dogs... with just about anything in the world that you want on them. Go, try them.... see for yourself. Good food and great prices. Not fine dining, but great food.
Obsessed. This is one of the best places you could go around here for inexpensive yet insanely wonderful hotdogs, hamburgers, and fries. Ever since I was a little kid I have came here, and they are still amazing. I think the food got even better after they burnt down. I'm obsessed with this place and could eat here everyday! And if you've got little kids, they will be sure to love it! They've got 2 trainsets and it's just a fun and happy restaurant!
A Chester county gem. The best dog in this universe : )
For some reason it days Jimmy john's has free wifi. That's not true. Other than that Jimmy john's is awesome. Best place to work, eat, and hang out. I never thought I was a hot dog person until I tried a grilled bacon cheese dog. Even their new chicken cheese steaks are super satisfying (I suggest adding the hot sauce in the packets next to the ATM). Go there. Now.
Had my long over due fix on Friday. The dogs are better than ever!
Used to eat there as a kid loved the trains. I hear the food is still the same
Hot Dog. Still around - and still the best and most unique hot dogs you can eat. Simple pleasures are the best.
Absolutely spectacular burgers. This is the best burger joint I've ever been to (and I have been to A LOT of burger joints across America). Not only do I love supporting a thriving mom and pop shop but I love doing so with food I love. I would recommend this to any people in the area or new people traveling. The burger looks way small (it is!) but you quickly find yourself full after you eat the fries and drink your drink (I also had a milkshake and completely stuffed myself). Keep on keepin' on JJ. The REAL JIMMY JOHNS.
It was an honor to review your place..I am a top contributor on Google maps reviews so please do not take this review with a grain of salt.
Much love from the Rocky Mountains,

Always a good quick stop. Great classic hot dogs and crispy fries.
Olde mainstay in New Chester PA, 1940, still a vibrate classic today, waiting to thrill the next generational traditions of this family fun eatery!
Reliving memories. No longer live in the State, but have to stop when able. They did not disappoint. As a child they were a frequent stop after Church. Sorry. Didn't think of food pics.
This establishment is a staple in the West Chester area. The Original Jimmy John's, not that abhorrent sub chain. They're hot dogs are absolutely the best, made exclusively for Jimmy John's by Deitz and Watson. If you are ever in the West Chester area and are looking for a great little place to eat, don't hesitate to stop into Jimmy John's Piping Hot Sandwiches. Your taste buds will thank you.
Looking for a local gem? This is the place! I have been going to Jimmy John's since high school (over a decade now), and can always count on them for a satisfying meal at a very reasonable cost. The quality you get for your money is fantastic. Nostalgic, delicious, fun AND cost-conscious!
