Happened upon this place while searching for somewhere different and new (to us). Yelp reviews and pics led me to give it a shot and am I glad I did. Small place in a strip mall that you'd drive by every time and might not notice. A neon sign in the window saying "Gourmet Mexican" added to the anticipation. A small place, 12-15 tables, family run it looks like, but those are usually the best places. The menu is extensive yet easy to understand. Both Spanish and English descriptions of the food make ordering easy. The service is quite friendly and attentive and the food was tremendous. The burrito that I had was stuffed with a well seasoned Pork Al Pastor and covered with a rich thick mole sauce. My wife had the "California Burrito" which was packed with shrimp and covered in a rich cheese sauce. The portion sizes are robust, but leave room for dessert or you will regret missing out on the churros especially! I will not hesitate to return here or tell anyone I know about this hidden gem.
This place is the real deal, authentic Mexican food prepared fresh to perfection with great attentive service and cozy dining area.
The food is delicious. If you get a chance to visit I recommend the "shrimp ceviche".
