Eat Thai, Thai Eatery West Des Moines

Probably the single-best "first impression" I've received from any restaurant in a long time. My fiancé and I were looking for a new place to try. He'd seen the outdoor sign in the strip mall a few times in passing, and had read a few glowing reviews online...so we stopped in for lunch today (a Sunday). The space wasn't too large or too small (cap. is 60 I believe, please forgive me if wrong) but they were busy - a good sign. Delicious smells greeted us as we were seated by our server, who was very pleasant and efficient. After much deliberation we each settled on an entree: he got the Spicy Noodle with Basil (heat level 4), and I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice (heat level 3). My fried rice was the perfect kind of sticky and incredibly flavorful ... I ate several bites with chopsticks but gave it up for the fork, which was a good decision as you're able to combine even more levels of flavor in one bite. SO. DIVINE. Just a little bit of sweet, balanced with the perfect kind of savory. I tried his noodles as well; excellent heat, excellent flavor - in between bites we both kept saying how we didn't want stop eating because it tasted so good, but we had to our we would've stuffed ourselves silly due to the generous portion sizes. My only regret is that I couldn't try more things in one visit (Thai Custard Sticky Rice, I will be back for you soon!) We left satisfied and thrilled with our new find, and we'll be back again and again. Thankfully, they're also on Food Dudes delivery service! VERY highly recommended.
