The Wine Experience At Jordan Creek West Des Moines

I like the place. I think they have a great wine selection and pretty good food too. I usually split a half hummus platter with the wife, and eat a salad. Wine is complex, and usually a person's pallet begins to evolve, and once it does I don't think that non-wine drinkers understand how hard it is procure good wine at a fair price. The owners of this business understand this and go to great lengths to procure the best wine they can at an affordable price. When we go to Des Moines we always stop at the Wine Experience, and usually leave with a box of wine that Tom recommends to us. I have had some of the best wine and champagne ever from these recommendations, and I even started drinking some white wine thanks to Tom. When we have a dinner date at nice restaurant we go see Tom and tell him where we are going, and get a few bottles to go that he thinks would pair well with the cuisine. Most places allow you to bring in wine for a cork fee. Even with the fee this usually saves you big $$. We recently have done this in places like Harbinger and Baru 66 and with these wine pairings from the Wine experience our dinner was taken to that next level. I don't think this is the best place to grab a quick beer, or some swill if you are in a hurry, rather it is a place to slow down and relax with a great glass of wine, and if you want take some home too. Discounts if you buy 6 or more bottles.

This is my secret place to relax and be treated like royality...the owners and their staff are always friendly and very willing to help with your wine and food selection. I have never had a bad food selection, the chief is excellent. Wine Experience is a must for anyone shopping or going out for the night!
