Their best dish is the soft shelled crab pancake. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very tasty and portion is large, best for 2 people.
We had fried chicken wings, excellent as well. Fried pork belly was good but a bit salty. Overall a good place to have their specialty, banh xeo. Can't go wrong.
I enjoyed the authentic food here. Banh Xeo was excellently crispy and filled with fresh shrimp and pork. Bò lúc lắc with tender, juicy beef served on watercress salad was my favorite. The fried rice was gourmet! Those who want soft foods would enjoy fried rice or Bò kho. Did I mention that the kids loved the fries?
Nice and cozy place. The owner is very friendly. “Banh xeo” (sizzling pan cake) and stir-fry dish are good. “Ca kho to” is acceptable.
Great food. Great service. Cash only. I stopped by on a weekend. It was referred by a blogger for banh xeo and their specials. I ordered one of the specials that came with iced coffee which is nice on a hot summer day. Their bread is delicious with a nice crunchy crust, soft in the center, and tastes great with their stew. The bo kho is a nice twist with carrots and onions instead of potato, so it has a slight sweet taste and not so thick. Their ragu is tasty as well and served only on weekends.
soft-shell crab and pasta are really good, definitely will come back
The food was unexpectedly good. I assumed that it be standard food, but they blew it out of the park with their bo lúc lắc. It was tangy and savory at the same time all while never overwhelming you.
Great food, good prices and friendly service. The food has been consistently good. Most of what I’ve tried has been delicious. The bo luc Lac with water crest is really good here. The bo tai Chanh is good too. Their sauces are on point. The banh xeo is crispy and yummy. The added plus is they are open late.
Cafe style eatery serving up Vietnamese brunch and comfort food. The spot is clean with 60s French music filling the air to reminisce the nostalgic time of French influence. The specials, located in the back of the menu, are popular dishes that are priced way below other restaurants. The value is insane for instance, Banh mi bo kho + cafe (beef stew with baguette and Vietnamese coffee) is only $5.99! This favorite dish that was brought by the French is a Vietnamese version of boef bourguignon. The meat is so tender and the broth so flavorful, it'll have you back for another visit in no time! My other "special" favorites: Mi hai san (shrimp, squid, fishballs), mi tom thit (shrimp and pork). The broth is clean and delicious, the egg noodles, shrimp, and squid are always cooked perfectly and never over cooked.
I came here right after reopening by covid. First time for me. Food is good but they have a patio area for those who smoke. I moved to another table but still can not breath because of cigarette smoke, but it is not the mistake from the restaurant.
Great little family run restaurant. The food was delicious.
