Manna

While the food was absolutely amazing, a few aspects left something to be desired. Let's start with the positives. The food itself was phenomenal. From the first bite to the last, I couldn't help but be impressed by the flavors and presentation. The chef's skill was evident in every dish, and it was clear that they took great care in preparing the meals. However, I was disappointed by the limited options and lack of vegetable choices. I ordered a standard steak with French fries, which was delicious, but I was hoping for the option to have a vegetable side as well. The absence of this choice made the meal feel incomplete and left me wanting more variety. Additionally, the service from the bartender was flat. It's important for staff to be attentive and engaging, and unfortunately, this aspect fell short. While it didn't ruin the overall experience, it did detract from the overall ambiance and level of service I had hoped for. Despite these shortcomings, I still had a great overall experience. The amazing food alone almost made up for the other aspects, and I left the restaurant satisfied. However, I do believe that the restaurant could improve by offering more vegetable options and ensuring that their staff provides a more welcoming and attentive service.

My favorite restaurant to visit when I'm in Wilmington, hands down. Such a unique, beautiful space. Attentive service (shout out to Tess, who we've had as our server the 2 times we've been, a year apart no less!). Every single bite was incredible. I especially loved that night's oyster special with tuna tartar or a raspberry rosemary (I believe?) granita with cucumber mignonette. From start to finish, attention to detail in every aspect from the food, wine, service and atmosphere.. it's fantastic. Well worth the trip.

Manna is a passionate experience of libation and culinary expression. The staff is exceptional, welcoming and accommodating. They'll put forth their best effort to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food, while bursting with flavor and inspiration, slightly missed the mark of sophistication that would elevate it to the next level. I'll use the word "passionate" again, as that's the less than subtle theme of your meal. Unbridled, the cuisine can leave a palate overwhelmed. There is nothing lacking in the execution of their excellence; I challenge the chef to elevate the dishes and to allow the flavors to tell a story. This restaurant is close to something exceptional.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Manna, and we couldn't have been happier. On the advice of another google reviewer, we called ahead to ask about doing a tasting menu, and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent; and moreover, their prices were more than reasonable (our bill for a five-course tasting for two was about $100). What we really appreciated was how much the entire staff at Manna seemed to care about creating a delicous and meaningful dining experience for us. From when my husband called to ask about the tasting menu to when we sat down to when we ate the last course, it was clear that everyone on staff truly cares about the food they put out. We were also impressed with the sommalier, who provided us with several different options to pair beverages with our meal. We were impressed with both his genuine interest in pairing wine with our food as well as his ability to select something we enjoyed that didn't break the bank. Overall an excellent experience. We'd definitely eat there again if we go back to Wilmington!

We had a great experience at Manna. Our server was excellent. The food was excellent. The drinks were excellent. We requested the tasting menu, and we were not disappointed. We felt like the most special guests of the restaurant! Attentive service, excellent wine and cocktails with each course, and excellent food. I suggest being open to trying new things. Highly recommended.
