The pizza and tap room were 5 stars! I grabbed a beer in the tap room while waiting for my pizza to cook. The bartender was friendly and did a great job. On my way out out I grabbed a 4 pack of beer to go and noticed the expiration date was a year ago. I asked if it was really a year old before I cashed out at the to go counter and he said yes but sours age well. Just open it over the sink. I should have put it back. This beer did NOT age well and it was 25!!! dollars for a 4 pack of year old beer I can't drink. Lesson learned. I'll be back for the tap room and pizza but it would be nice if you kept your to go beer in code with the high prices you are charging.
Great food and selection of beer. If you get a pizza, get the dirty crust - it's amazing! The servers and bar tenders are friendly.
It's little out of the way and the street parking can be bit annoying but if you are in the area I would recommend it for some pizza and wings. Pro tip, on Mondays wings are $0.65 per wing last time we checked, seems like a promo that's been going on for a while. (Recommend the Hot and Honey BBQ). Good selection of beer from area, lots of micro brew but it is bit expensive so be prepare for that.
One of my favorite places to eat. Excellent food and prices. But in recent times it seems there has been staffing shortages/issues leaving there dine in section closed most of the time. This is a shame as it seemed like they received solid business through this end. I would consider paying wait staff slightly more to keep it staffed to draw/promote the business.
I enjoyed my visit to the Golden Crust Pizza. I was looking for a place to eat and stumbled upon them. As someone who enjoys beer and the craft beers that are a available, it was great they had such a selection available. From real Guinness on a nitro tap, to an actual beer engine at the location. Sadly the engine wasn't running, but I would love to try it when it is.
I had their Lasagna, which was very good, and I am told that they have great wings. The staff was friendly and polite, so I enjoyed my visit, and will return..
By far the best pizza in York/red Lion. The owner is always super nice and has always greeted me and my kids.
One time while eating in I got the steamed clams which tasted super weird- I’ve gotten them a number of times before but when I had them last time it looked like Italian dressing was mixed in them. When I told the waitress she just stared at me… I couldn’t even eat them they were so bad. No apology or anything. Needless to say it’s been awhile (3 years) since we dined in due to that.
I do however order for to go so I don’t have to deal with that mishap again.
Don’t let this discourage you though, this place does great with their items and being welcomed during pick up keeps me and my boys coming back for more :)
Really amazing pizza, but the draw is the sheer volume, diversity, and quality of the beers. Many are unique/local and there is at least 2 beers you can't get enough of. Add to the fact that they regularly update their offerings and you have a place you will always want to stop by when you're passing through Red Lion PA.
