OMG, best � candy shop ever ,they have everything I remember when I was a kid and candy that my 7 year old loves
The owner even kept the shop open a little later for our family and was so friendly even with a broken foot ,now that is customer service at it's best !!!!

We asked Sweet Josie's to do salt water taffy favors for our beach-themed wedding. They were very friendly and allowed us to pick which flavors we wanted and how many pieces of each for very cheap! It was only $100 for enough taffy for our 90 guests! And the taffy, absolutely delicious. We had tried Goldenrod's taffy but it did not even compare. First, Goldenrod does not dye it's taffy colors so it's impossible to know what flavor you are eating based on look. Secondly, Sweet Josie's tasted much much better and the texture was much softer than Goldenrod's. I would highly recommend them for wedding favors or just a sweet treat!
We have been going to Sweet Jose's for at least 20 years. It is our first stop when we go to Maine. The fudge was the draw. It is the best I have ever had and won't eat any other. It's so rich and creamy and not sugary like most fudge. I highly recommend the tiger butter and the peanut butter explosion but honestly we've liked every flavor we have tried. They also have bulk candy, ice cream and Italian ice. The candy is always fresh and there's a good variety. We tried the Italian ice for the first time this year... It was amazing. I highly recommend the sour rainbow! Kathy and the staff are super friendly and will do their best to accommodate your special request. We'll be back next year!!
I visited Sweet Josie's a couple weekends ago when in York, ME for a wedding. The bride and groom ordered fudge from this Shoppe to serve to guests at the reception, and I went with the bride and others to pick up the order. I couldn't help but to order some items for myself, including gummies and other candies for my kids! The fudge smelled and tasted so good! The store owner, Kathy, was super nice and helpful. I'll definitely visit this location the next time I'm in New York!
First things first - every piece of chocolate was DELICIOUS.
I was heading up to Maine for a stay with my wife for our anniversary and a google search brought me here -- I called, and despite not currently offering delivery - the owners were so incredibly accommodating that they offered to deliver my order to the Cliff House themselves.
We discussed over a few phone calls what they had in the shoppe and what I wanted -- packaged it so beautifully - and left it at the front desk with a note attached.
The chocolates were simple delicious. And I ordered 6 or 7 different types.
The owners were delightful and appreciative of my shopping with them and could not have been any nicer.

Very nice sea side shop. Lots of selection and a to die for variety of fudges. Also love the variety of nostalgic of candies and salt water taffy. Very accommodating employees make sure that your visit is great! If you are in the village stop in.
Sweet Josie’s provided fudge and taffy for a family wedding in beautiful York. Several of us went into their adorable shop to pick everything up before the wedding and we chose several different things that we just had to sample. Everything was SO DELICIOUS!
Wow!! The Ice cream was outstanding. I highly recommend this place. It will be a regular stop for us when we are in the area.
They have the best Hawaiian shaved ice!!! The staff is so friendly!! Best vacation spot to stop by and grab candy🍭🍧
