Dicono di noi:
When we first came to Borgomaro two years ago, we fell totally in love with the Relais del Maro but there was one, fairly important caveat. We almost dreaded going out to dinner. It meant either bracing ourselves for 12 to 16 courses in the two main village options or a drive on difficult roads.
The decision by the owners of Etta to move down from Lucinasco to Borgomaro and to switch from big set menus to a la carte has changed all that.
We ate there on three consecutive nights and loved every single dish – mostly quite original without straying too far from classic Italian traditions and always elegant and precise. Given the “Enosteria” name, we expected a bigger wine selection but everything we tried (no actual list with prices) was extremely well chosen and fairly priced. We didn’t try “Dad’s wine” but other reviews make us wish we had. They were also very accommodating about our desire to share courses (served in two half portions, where the nature of the dish allowed.)
My only slight reservation would be that that the menu remained unchanged on all three nights - even the so-called “dishes of the day”! With a few daily tweaks, we’d come for 4 or 5 nights another year!!
