One of the few places serving breakfast with eggs. The owners were fantastic...friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant area was clean, modern and stylish. Also the breakfast was quite cheap yet wholesome for what we had. We definitely will be going back there again

delicious, freshly prepared food, excellent, friendly service and a beautiful space with lovely wines ... what more could you as for as a break in the middle of historic firenze? bar e cucina is steps from the ponte vecchio, the duomo, the ufizzi gallery and many other sights you may want to see in this beautiful city. it doesn’t “look italian,” or at least what many tourists might expect italian to look like 😉, so it is a low-key experience where you will get attention from the staff and maybe a little something extra to taste or drink while you are there. great food, great service and great location are what you’ll get here and i cannot recommend it highly enough!

Stumbled upon this gem because the sandwhich shop lines were too long. And I’ve been back twice since. The dinner menu is high class and the lunch is light and refreshing. A great escape from the summer heat! The staff is very friendly and can make some great cocktails. If you go for dinner you have to get the cheese cremebrulé.

What an incredible experience! This restaurant and bar are a must in historic florence. A great escape from the summer heat as the place was air conditioned and extremely clean. The food was high class for a low price. Skip the sandwhich shop line down the road and go here instead. 👍🏼👍🏼

If you want to give take a break from the classic and get to a different planet this is the place. Cool decor and very very attentive staff, but the food is just outrageous ! It's what a million dollar would taste like if you could eat it. But it won't make you sell your shirt for it. I would eat here every night if I wasn't living in another continent :(

Super food, super service. We decided to stop here after an absolute cultural marathon at the Uffizi. It was situated immediately after the enormous crowds that gather just outside the famous museum - just perfect. We were 5 people who each ordered a different type of pasta dish, and we were all totally satisfied; the food was just excellent. Friendly staff as well! Be advised, though: this place is well within the "touristy" zone, and the prices reflect that. Either way, it was yet another great eating experience in Firenze!

Non pensare di venire a mangiare crostini e prosciutto di antipasto. Ci sono già 1000 ristoranti a Firenze per quello. Bar e Cucina è un ristorante nuovo che propone dei piatti innovativi come il creme bruleé di pecorino o il vitello tonnato 2.1. Senza dubbio un locale da provare.

Abbiamo cenato a Bar e Cucina sabato scorso passando veramente un'ottima serata.
Innanzitutto mi preme ringraziare il gestore, Matteo, per non aver fatto la minima polemica sul fatto si fosse arrivati in ritardo a causa di un incidente trovato a Novoli sui viali (parliamo di un'ora di ritardo, quindi non poco anche se ovviamente abbiamo avvertito).
Il locale si presenta molto bene, luci soffuse, musica giusta e quel mix di colori nè troppo spenti nè troppo accesi che rilassa alla vista.
Abbiamo optato per il menù degustazione a 35€ (3 piatti e dolce).
Porzioni non abbondanti, direi giuste, tutte creazioni veramente buone e fantasiosi dello chef con ingredienti di stagione e pertanto freschi( e spiegati perfettamente da Matteo durante la fase di scelta).
Nota di merito per il piatto "Italia Vs Usa", ravioli con il ripieno italiano accompagnati da astice, veramente di una qualità indescrivibile.
Come vino abbiamo optato per un Bolgheri a 24€ la bottiglia spendendo in totale una cifra che ritengo giusta per la serata 43€ a testa.

Se non si fosse capito è un locale che consiglio assolutamente di provare per una cena fuori dall'ordinario!
Sicuramente noi ci torneremo, +++++!

Amazing food. Well decorated. Lovely folks running the place. Absolutely stellar experience! Best meal we've had in Florence. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy gastronomy style unique dishes.
