Dicono di noi: Just returned from a fortnight at the Milton and it more than lived up to its reputation. HOTEL - Beautiful just doesn’t do it justice. It is quirky, colourful, Italian , comfortable and pretty. Stands out amongst it competitors. We are in so many peoples photos as they stop to take pictures day and night. Our room was a twin, lovely clean bathroom with sink, bidet, shower, toilet, clean towels daily if required. The beds were really comfortable and plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe although could have done with a few drawers. Furniture hand painted and pretty. Very clean everyday . Air on was efficient as was the fridge. The hotel communal spaces are comfortable and very clean , plenty of sofas, a shared book area. You hung your own keys and retrieve without support. The dining room was yellow and bright but fitting in with the hotel theme . Plenty of spaces to sit. The pool area was one of the prettiest I have ever seen. Lots of sun beds and seating. Pool just big enough. Sun beds very comfortable. Very well maintained by the owner, colourful and plentiful flowers. The jacuzzi is a welcome extra. There is bar service at the pool which is efficient. Very nice at night all lit up. Beautiful statue of the “flautist” in the pool area. Beach towels are provided and renewed every week. Bikes are available free of charge and this is the perfect way to explore the 15km of street. The beach is 100meters away, just cross directly to the other side of the road cut through the hotel opposites car park area , turn right and then right again and your there. Beach sun beds are provided. Perfect for a day at the beach and close enough to pop back to the hotel if needed. Beach is cleaned daily and sand raked every morning. P,entry of activities going on on the beach daily. The massage and lookies lookie guys can be a nuisance but firm and polite no does the trick. Beach has toilets, showers and cafe as well as a mobile drink unit and clothes wagon. Gorgeous first thing in the morning when the sun is rising. The bars stay open till midnight with music and drink. Hotel restaurant food is delicious and plentiful. Lots of variety at both breakfast and dinner. Staff are friendly and helpful. I do think tea and coffee should be offered after dinner tho The drinks are a little more expensive at dinner and cannot be brought in from, The Terrace bar, the hotels outsidebar/restaurant. Seems a shame. The family help all the time in the restaurant refilling empty bowls etc. I think just enough food is on offer and good Italian food at that. The Terrace Bar also part of the hotel is lively with friendly staff and very helpful. A good menu with prices that match the other surrounding areas . The drinks are a little expensive . As hotel guests if you run a tab for your entire holiday you get 15%discount t if paying in cash the day before leaving. This is a welcome perk. We saved over £200. Venice is a short bus and boat ride away. Tickets can be bought in the Tabbachi. 20euro return to Venice/25 euro for Venice and the islands. The family are just lovely, helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They said goodbye at the coach to each and everyone of us. Check in and out was very efficient. This was a real find. If and when we return we will be staying at the Milton.
