Pizza: il migliore a Marina di Caulonia

Dicono di noi: Abbiamo cenato qualche sera fa in questo locale, ma siamo rimasti molto delusi. Il nostro tavolo è stato sistemato lontano da fari e luci, tanto da non vedere cosa avevamo di pietanze nei piatti. Attesa infinita per ricevere l’antipasto e i primi e la qualità non era di nostro gradimento. Il servizio si è rivelato un flop: ci è stato detto che eravamo andati nell’orario sbagliato e di prendere piatti simili per velocizzare i tempi. Forse la pizza sarebbe stata buona, ma noi avevamo scelto un menù di pesce. Peccato perché avevamo alte aspettative.

Dicono di noi: A fairly recent addition to Marina di Caulonia’s repertoire of restaurants, La Riva serves as the beachside residence for the popular year-round takeaway pizza outlet Floriss in the village centre. Located across the road from the beach, La Riva offers a fairly sizeable outdoor seating area to diners. It’s plastic chairs and tables but this doesn’t personally bother me. I believe they have a more extensive snacking menu for lunchtime, but the evening menu is pretty much pizza based, which isn’t surprising given that this is their day job. Cooked in a traditional stone oven as visible from the restaurant, it’s what they know, and what they do, best. As this might imply the pizzas are excellent. A very good selection, quality ingredients, these are about as good as it gets. The service, provided by the whole family, is friendly and sharp, and the prices perfectly acceptable (pizza and 2 drinks €12) I’d definitely recommend La Riva if in Marina do Caulonia. In a small village that offers several options for good pizza, it may just be the best
