Dicono di noi: Cicuto is a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed. I just stumbled upon the bar-restaurant on my first night in Palermo in a "hip" area that was full of over-priced restaurants and bars. After my 4th meal there, I just looked up trip advisor and see all the great reviews for drinks and the wonderful Valeria and Alessandro, but nothing about the food! Their inventive chef produces an array of distinctive dishes fusing Sicilian, African and other influences that change on a daily basis, and incorporate local ingrediants. I didn't try the cocktails (all highly recommended in other reviews) but Valeria insisted I try several of the Sicilian wines be making my choice, and I was also treated to several homemade digestivi. After the second night I just asked Valeria to recommend my meal for the evening. She combined various appetisers on one evening so I could try the various things on offer. The owners, Valeria and Alessandro, are a wonderful couple and were so welcoming and we had many great conversations. I have 2 more nights in Palermo, in this "hip" little enclave near the Vucciria market and I wouldn't spend it anywhere else.
