Dicono di noi: Charged me 9.5 euro for a small cone! The scooper doesn’t understand English and the people behind the register were rude both days! Acted as though you were interrupting them when you walk over to the register to pay! I asked the next morning and the man behind the register told me my vine cost 7.5 , so they even ropes me off at their outrageous prices! We’ve bought gelato all over Italy and always charged between 1.8 and 3 euro for a small cone elsewhere

Dicono di noi: Samen met me vriend eeeste dag in Rome we hadden trek en kwamen langs dit tentje. Een pizza en wat drinken genomen ten eerst was me glas zo vies dat ik blij was dat ik er een flesje drinken had. Daarnaast was de kaas op de pizza niet meer goed en lag er meerdere haren op me pizza wat meteen me trek bederfde. Ook het personeel is niet erg vriendelijk... ook is pinnen niet mogelijk. Slecht eten jammer en ook erg duur.

Dicono di noi: Las mesas puestas sobre la calle para atraer turistas (sobre todo en el caluroso verano romano). Por suerte nosotros solo pedimos unas cervezas y un agua mineral. Los precios caros y los meseros no son de los más predispuestos a atender turistas (si bien nosotros no tuvimos problemas, tardaban mucho en atender las mesas de la calle y no mostraban mucho interés ni siquiera en cobrar la cuenta).

Dicono di noi: Ordered calzone and lasagne. Calzone great but lasagne obviously microwaved as it was cold in the middle. Yes I was hungry so ate it all. Mentioned it to waiter. No credit. Mentioned it again when we left and got chased down street telling us we were full of $&@$ Avoid at all costs. Plenty of better options within 50m.

Dicono di noi: Ordinato con il totem ,preso il fermaposto e seduti .....arriva puntuale la cameriera che ammucchia due ordini diversi in un vassoio ( ma siamo in due !!!) .....due panini my selection di Bastianich che mi auguro assaggi per vedere se dice " è il mio preferito .." sapendo che ci caschi dentro per via del centro commerciale nessuna cura se non la superficialità e trascuratezza vicina alla maleducazione. Locale commerciale che se chiudesse forse farebbe interrogare il gestore semmai ne esista uno !

Dicono di noi: --- Это ж надо так было вляпаться! Хотя, что ожидать от первого дня? Прилетели утренним рейсом. Пока заселились, пока умылись. И гулять по городу. Не скажу, что Рим сильная загадка. Таки второй раз в Вечном городе. Но пока суть да дело, всей семьёй проголодались. Голод, да плюс усталость накрыли нас за площадью Венеции. Примерно в районе храма Иезуитов. Как то в Риме и положено, каждая улица усыпана пиццериями, словно осенний лес грибами. Планов конкретных никаких. Поэтому выбрали место, где покушать исключительно методом свободного тыка. --- Сюда заходим? --- Почему бы и нет? Перед нами дверь и вывеска: --- Gran Caffe Leon. Меню типовой итальянской пиццерии. Без вариаций и изысков. Да и мы не сильно выёживаемся. --- Нам две пиццы, желательно с колбасой. Сыночку пасту карбонара. И графинчик с литром красного вина. Предельно простой заказ. Запивон принесли сразу. С этим полный порядок. Да и к простому напитку какие могут быть претензии? --- Наливай и пей! Пока ждём еду, осматриваемся по сторонам. Помещение не большое. Таки центр города и полей под гольф тут нет. Но вот его содержание! Пыльно. Грязно. Заляпано... --- Неужели трудно убраться? Пожилая итальянка делает вид, что "командует парадом". Хозяйка, наверное. Во всяком случае очень похожа. Остальной контингент работников явные мигранты из южных краёв. Причём не Италии, а откуда подальше. Южнее. Из-за моря. Мне, по-большому счёту, абсолютно на то по барабану. Работают, молодцы. Но хотя бы скатёрки при этом простирать таки нужно. И полишки помыть, а то на крошках спотыкаешься. Принесли пиццу. Отламываем, пробуем, кусаем. --- Горячая... На этом восторги заканчиваются. Если скажу, что за время двух своих путешествий в Рим это была самая невкусная пицца, то здесь меня поддержит вся семья. И жена, и сын одномоментно согласились с подобным утверждением. Дело даже не в начинке. У меня сложилось впечатление, что пиццу приготовили на купленных в магазине заранее замороженных коржах. Вот если кто сам подобное блюдо готовил, знает, что мороженные коржи, которые продают в холодильниках супермаркетов, с задней стороны имеют особые точки насечки. Уж не знаю, для чего они на заводе нужны, но это так. Так вот пицца в ресторане Gran Caffe Leon имела эти опознавательные знаки. Раскатывая тесто на кухне, таких меток не получишь. Если только специально вилкой тыкать... Про пасту ничего не скажу. Я не любитель макарон. Но судя по недовольной физиономии сына, паста не сильно отличалась от пиццы. Короче выводы: --- Всех спас литр вина. Интересно, есть ли в Риме аналог поговорки: --- Пей, ибо закусить не успеешь?

Dicono di noi: The service was excellent, our waiter was genuine and friendly. He recommended a pizza and salad, we had a few beers and it was excellent. Really enjoyed it, and although it is right in the middle of the main tourist area we found the prices reasonable and yes as most cafe's/restaurants do in Rome there is a service charge, but it was as expected.

Dicono di noi: My husband and I stopped here for lunch today. The menu was written on a board on the wall and was quite short, with just five pasta dishes offered. My husband chose pasta all'amatriciana and I ordered lasagna al ragu. His pasta was okay, but my lasagna was dried out and so difficult to cut through that I almost asked for a sharper knife. Instead I just gave up and decided isntead to fill up on bread, but it was stale and impossible to bite through. We know Rome very well, after many trips here, and I don't recall ever encountering food this bad.

Dicono di noi: I'll start with the good things: The apartment is well located, in a very residential part of the city, about 10 minutes walk south of the Travestere railroad station. If you want to be closer to the tourist sites, you wouldn't want to stay here, but if you want a more laid-back taste of real Rome, the neighborhood was great--lively and safe. It's about a 20-minute bus ride to get to most of the main attractions. The apartment was also cleaned to a good standard. The price is more than reasonable. Now for the problems: We were here in January and the apartment was freezing. What little heat there was came on from about 6-10 pm, but even that was substandard. There was also a bit of heat in the morning, but it was gone by 9 am. This meant that it didn't really have any of the advantages of an apartment, because it was far too uncomfortable to cook anything in the kitchen, which had no heat at all, or come back during the day to rest for a couple of hours. Literally, there were moments when my teeth were chattering. At the very least, the heating issue should be mentioned in the description so people know what they're getting into. The second problem was the staff. As we were arriving in the early morning, we asked if there was any way we could leave our luggage before checking into the apartment. They told us that was impossible. When we did meet the woman at 2pm (beginning of check-in time), she was 10 minutes late and very cursory in showing us the apartment. She was hesitant to even to let us check the keys and make sure they worked. The only thing she seemed to care about was receiving the 28 Euro city tax, which I told her I'd give her the next day, since we hadn't yet changed money into Euros. After that interaction, all our communication was by text. She said she'd left me a receipt for the 28 Euros, which I left for her in the kitchen, but there was no receipt. She also said she'd talk to the owner about the heat, but the heat didn't improve. When we left the apartment, I again asked if we could pack up everything and leave the luggage in the hall to pick up before the next occupants checked in at 2, she told us we had to be out at 10:30 because the next people were coming at 11:30. She didn't answer me when I asked why she wouldn't let us check in early, as we'd originally asked her to. One of these issues alone may not have been such a big deal, but added up, they definitely put a damper (or perhaps a literal chill) on our trip. Considering our next apartment host is picking us up at the Catania airport for only a little bit more money than the bus would cost, I think people could do better, even in busy Rome.

Dicono di noi: Panini gommosi farciti con salumi senza sapore. Locale non molto pulito e personale non molto gentile. Nel locale non esiste toilette, per cui non ci si può neanche lavare le mani prima di mangiare! Incredibile in epoca Covid-19!

Dicono di noi: Vado tutte le mattine a fare colazione in vari bar dove oramai, almeno la mattina, non si paga il servizio al tavolo (soprattutto in questo periodo dove non si può consumare al bancone) . In questo bar pretendevano 3,50 euro per un caffe e un cornetto srmplice. Tengo a dire che nei bar immediatamente di fronte (conosco bene la zona) con un massimo di 2,20 euro c'è un servizio eccellente e si può stare al tavolo tranquillamente. Inoltre il personale non è per niente accogliente né simpatico. GIUDIZIO ALTAMENTE NEGATIVO. LO SCONSIGLIEREI A TUTTI

Dicono di noi: A shame. We looked forward to this. After a few trips to Melaka, we decided to go for it and you get your money’s worth but the food quality is poor. The staff are lovely but the food in general has a lot of improvement to be made to get decent ratings. The bbq meat was all over cooked as was the seafood. The buffet is not replenished often enough either, which means that you have to wait and ask a few times. We mostly enjoyed the salad which was literally greens and crudités . Ice creams are extremely artificial and the chocolate drops and toppings cheap. It is a shame because the hotel is great and cannot be faulted - if they get the kitchen sorted this hotel would be brilliant. During the day, food a la carte is a lot better.

Un spritz qui a du spritz seulement l’indication figurant sur le reçu, a 20 euros qui plus est ... en somme un peu cher payé .. Un attrape-touristes donc à fuir absolument !!

Dicono di noi: We had just finished visiting St. Angelo's church and the Portico. We stopped for a moment to have a drink and a quick bite. There were also tables outside, but we preferred something simple and quick at the counter. Apart from the proximity of the Portico, we have not detected anything special. Looking a bit old and run down, we had suspected it would be so. Not cheap. For tired tourists who can't find anything better in the area.

The steak was dreadful, as a chef myself I can say that the rib-eye I had wasn’t seasoned was really tough to cut and chew, the weight was 250g but 100g of that was fat!! Consequently the meal was NOT good, it came with frozen chips. I expressed my distaste to the waiter and the manger whom both shrugged it off. My wife’s fish was equally poor and at €40 for her dish was an absolute disgrace. This was our anniversary meal and we both felt ripped off and extremely dissatisfied with both the meal and the service. As you can see from all my other reviews I’m normally very kind and always find something nice to say, here I can not find anything polite to say. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY!!!!

Dicono di noi: Tipico localino del centro romano dove mangiare tradizionale, bere buon vino e parlare un po' di "romanesco". La posizione a ridosso di Piazza Navona in una viuzza molto caratteristica e "fresca" si fa pagare ma purtroppo una certa furbata verso i turisti non manca... a fronte di 4 menù in "offerta", due con acqua e due con calice di vino, ci troviamo aggiunte piuttosto pesanti per ogni extra (tradotto: un altro calice di vino, due caffè, un limoncello ed un sorbetto) tanto da raddoppiare il conto finale. Da 54€ dei 4 menù "fissi" agli 81 finali. Un po' troppo e, sopratutto, poca trasparenza nel presentare il tutto. Detto questo, personale ottimo, simpatico e sempe disponibile e cordiale, buone le bruschette di antipasto e ottimi i primi. La cacio e pepe non è il meglio che abbia mangiato a Roma ma è ottimo e i tonnarelli fatti a mano sono davvero ok. Buona anche la carbonara anche se a menù si parlava di spaghetti e arriva servita con rigatoni (comunque eccellenti). La pizza al piccolo di famiglia è piaciuta ma l'impasto era davvero sottilissimo. Posto tipico e cucina buona, ma valutate meglio gli extra prima di sedere. A Roma, per molto meno, si mangia benissimo anche lontano dal turismo.

Dicono di noi: Abbiamo mangiato la peggior pizza della nostra vita. Prosciutto crudo tagliato grosso e infornato ( avevo chiesto p.cotto)carciofi pieni di olio, salsa al pomodoro senza sale e aromi,pasta della pizza senza sale, una insalata greca senza pomodori,carote,e piccola. Prezzo??? É meglio che non mi esprimo. UNO schiaffo alla gastronomia Italiana.

Dicono di noi: We went to this restaurant as it was close to our accommodation and it had gluten free options - yay! Um, no! We ordered GF lasagne and pizza - there was no GF lasagne (even though the menu said there was) and they ran out of GF pizza. Red flag but as we had a baby with us we thought we’d stay. We ordered GF spaghetti which was a small entree size as a main meal and there was no love in that dish, and chicken with potatoes. Chicken was really oily and tasteless, as were the potatoes. I couldn’t eat it but my daughter did as she was starving. We also ordered a salad which was just passable. My husband ordered the lasagne, which he was happy with - the one positive. I left hungry because I couldn’t eat the food. Even the Aperol Spritzer was a disappointment - it was too sweet and tasted like cordial. Maybe it was a bad night for them - it was certainly a bad night for us that cost 105 Euro!!!!!

Dicono di noi: Location favorevole, a pochi metri dalla stazione centrale e dal famoso quartiere Esquilino. La struttura si presenta ampia ma poco curata. Ha posti sia all'interno sia all'esterno. Considerata la giornata molto calda era poco consigliabile pranzare fuori ma nel contempo le sale interne non avevano il climatizzatore acceso. Gentilissimo il cameriere che si è prodigato nel fare funzionare il climatizzatore e mettere un ventilatore a disposizione, purtroppo era una operazione che andava svolta a priori. Struttura facilmente raggiungibile a piedi e con i mezzi, si sconsiglia l'uso dell'auto per carenza di parcheggi. Presenta una grande scelta nel menù, ho comunque usufruito di quello a prezzo fisso. Il primo, spaghetti al ragù, un piatto appena decente. Il secondo, cotoletta con patatine nulla aveva a che fare con quanto richiesto. La cotoletta, un piccolo pezzo in vendita nei discount, congelato e insipido. Il servizio buono e nei tempi giusti. Rapporto qualità prezzo equo. Purtroppo ho notato un ambiente che ha delle potenzialità ma abbandonato a se stesso. Ha bisogno di maggiore cura e attenzione dal generale al particolare. Comunque c'è l'attenuante del periodo poco felice per l'economia. Ha le carte in tavola per riprendersi. Un giudizio di incoraggiamento...

Dicono di noi: Nonostante la mancanza di turisti e i molti stop dovuti al covid, in questi locali vicino alle grandi attrazzioni di Roma si persiste ad applicare prezzi tutt'altro che popolari. Ci siamo seduti perchè cercavamo un gelato da consumare seduti e siamo stati indirizzati dal cameriere di un altro locale della zona che aveva lavorato in questo nel passato. Il bar all'interno vende anche souvenir e il bagno è indecente, mancava completamente la possibilità di asciugarsi le mani. Per una piccola coppa di gelato, niente di speciale, abbiamo speso 13 euro, un'esagerazione. Abbiamo poi pagato 6,5 euro per la birra piccola alla spina, 4,50 per una bibita e 2 euro per una bottiglietta d'acqua. Almeno hanno accettato la carta di credito.

Dicono di noi: 2 agosto 2020 Serata indimenticabile in un scenario romano da sogno.. Ottimo cibo, personale gentilissimo, un iniziativa a favore dei sanitari senza precedenti! Piatti della cucina tradizionale romana cucinati alla perfezione e per concludere il famoso tartufo, una delizia al cioccolato. Grazie davvero di tutto e per aver pensato a noi!
