Bread: il migliore a Sorrento

Dicono di noi: Even though it looks like it's sponsored by EasyJet the quality of food and service excelled every other cafe, let alone, restaurant in Sorrento we visited. As it was situated opposite where we were staying we wandered over just after we arrived for a cheeky beer. As we were a bit peckish we ordered a couple of different bruschettas. Cripes-almighty. We had never tasted anything like it! We ended-up going back every other evening to the point where the staff (Angela & Gerry) would welcome us with big waves & smiles. Their 'fennel bread' is to die for, either with bruschetta or just dipped in oil & balsamic. Their pizza rivaled any big restaurant in Sorrento and their cheeky little deserts were fabulous. (Apparently they couldn't afford a unit in the town itself and have had to settle for passing trade and word of mouth). On our last day they had their work cut out as when we arrived there was a table laid out for over ten locals who wanted a specific menu (which they nailed completely). Random people would come over to us while we were there (when they heard us speaking English) and rave about the food and staff too. At the end of the night Angela ran inside when she saw we were going and came back out with a jar of home-made fig & almond jam that she made just for us (*gulp!*). What a star couple they are. I really hope for you all who are going to Sorrento that they will still be there next season. If they have moved location we would actually consider changing holiday destination to taste their food again...really.

Dicono di noi: This restaurant is inside the Hotel Plaza Sorrento. We ate two dinners and a daily breakfast as guests of the hotel during a tour of the Amalfi coast. The dinners were each 4 course meals with an appetizer or salad, first course, second course and dessert. One night we had pasta as the starter, while we had a smoked salmon the second night. Both were tasty and ample. Our main courses were chicken with mushrooms and a white fish; both also were quite tasty. The breakfast buffet each day had eggs, cereals, cheeses, meats and a wide range of breads, pastries and other sweets. Everything was well presented, fresh and tasty

Dicono di noi: This is a beautiful setting and we were excited to eat here as it looks so great - but that is where the good news stops! The poor waiter was in his own for 8 tables and running like a lunatic back and forth! We waited over an hour for starter and bread and then took almost 2 and half hours to eat - was so slow and the guy was trying to crack jokes with us as maybe he was embarrassed- the hotel needs more staff for a top restaurant- especially with the prices they are charging!! Also they make you sign the bill at the beginning of the meal! Like you are at McDonald’s and gonna run away without paying! Not good!!! Would not go back was like fawlty towers!!! We went out for dinner the 2nd night to soul and fish and was like night and day! Amazing would go back there in a second -

Non prendetela come la solita frase smielata , anzi è anche troppo riduttiva Salvatore e tutta la famiglia del Bistro 86 ti portano per mano nel loro viaggio culinario, fatto di tradizione e innovazione . Prodotti giornalieri , ricercati ed accostati sempre nel migliore dei modi . Un porto sicuro nel cuore del centro storico di Sorrento. Fuori dallo standard turistico AUTENTICO, CREATIVO, GRATIFICANTE gli aggettivi adatti per descrivere l’esperienza a ‘86 BRISTRÓ .

Dicono di noi: We had just arrived in Sorrento and jet lagged, so decided on takeaway from opposite our hotel. This place specialises in pizza and roast chicken, although there are other options. We had a generous sized family Margherita pizza, half a chicken with potatoes, 2 bottles of beer and 2 large bottles of water for €21. The quality of the food was very good for the price, which is probably why it was busy every night we walked past. Service was quick too.

Dicono di noi: La struttura è ubicata in pieno centro, nel bel mezzo dell'isola pedonale, circondata di locali, botteghe e ristoranti. Le camere molto accoglienti e curate nei minimi particolari all'interno di un palazzo del settecento di recente ristrutturazione. L'ideale per chi vuole soggiornare a Sorrento e spostarsi a piedi. Educato e riservato il personale.

Dicono di noi: We had a great meal every time we at there and we are FOODIES! We enjoy and savor and have been known to walk out of restaurants. There was NOTHING that wasn't top notch about this restaurant, from the food, to the service, to the way the table was set up, to the view and the atmosphere. If people say they didn't have the same experience, they either don't know food or were acting poorly. :-) We had dinner twice here -- the pasta with sausage was excellent, the Branzino was superb, lamb was amazing, scallops were unreal, the wines the breads, desserts - big WOW

Dicono di noi: Personale gentilissimo e buon cibo. Dal coppo alle pizze passando per la mozzarella al limone e al tagliere ma sulle birrette devo fare un appunto, chieste delle birre chiare ci dicono che non ci sono e c’è le portano scure, 33cl a 7 euro l’una, per me un costo spropositato, sono costate più loro che tutto il cibo. Alla fine cornetto portafortuna in omaggio, li abbiamo perdonati!

Dicono di noi: La pizzeria si trova in Piazza Tasso, centro nevralgico della mondanità sorrentina, e offre un buon servizio nel complesso. Il menù è ben assortito e la qualità delle pietanze è nella media. Il personale è cortese e disponibile; negli standard della Penisola il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Migliorabile la presentazione dei piatti. Il locale si presta per pranzi o cene in famiglia o fra amici. Consigliato!

Dicono di noi: Ristorante tipicamente per turisti con ampio menù. Ci sono stati proposti piatti interessanti, ma il risultato non era all’altezza delle attese. Abbiamo avuto un problema con un piatto, ma è stato risolto subito in maniera eccellente e con cortesia da parte dei camerieri. Servizio gentile e giovane. Menzione d’onore al buttadentro simpaticissimo.

Dicono di noi: Il migliore ristorante che ho trovato a Sorrento. Vastissima scelta di contorni di verdure a buffet, frittura di alici squisita e sapientemente cucinata, una focaccia (che dalle mie parti chiamiamo “ciclista”) servita calda e a spicchi e portata a tavola insieme al pane, eccellente (raramente ne ho assaggiate così buone). Personale cordiale e disponibile. Prezzi modici.
