Dicono di noi:
I can say this without any hesitation: Casa Dea Corte is the friendliest and realest place I know of to eat or drink in Venice.
I have been to Venice a few times, this time I went with my mom. We always try to find unpretentious places to eat, where the quality of the food and service speaks for itself.
So when we were looking inside this small yard, just far enough away from the big touristy streets that you could forget they are there, we immediately knew we had to check it out. We never looked back from there.
Everybody is supersuper friendly and welcoming. Oliver, the host, also does the cooking. He offers a great selection of Cicchetti and there is also a small seasonal menu of pasta dishes and some other things, which seems to vary, depending on what's available at the market that day.
When you watch Oliver through the window you realise - this is the real deal. Everything is freshly cooked with lots of love and knowledge about classical Venetian cooking. No unnecessarily fancy stuff, just really, really good food.
The waiter was always happy to recommend a few dishes to us as well as explain them a bit if needed. We tried different Cicchetti, as well as some pasta dishes (among others, Bigoli in Salsa were amazing, Pasta alla Busara was also soo good).
For the remainder of our stay, which was three days, we came back two times. Would have been more often, if we stayed longer. I also believe this might be an awesome place to go and just chill and drink some beers or Aperol or wine.
But I will find out anyway the next time I am in Venice as I will be coming back to Casa Dea Corte 110 percent, no questions asked.
Thank you guys for everything! Definitely the highlight of our trip.
