Dicono di noi:
Happened on this place whilst walking through the Pine tree park.
It has new owners & changed name to Pico bello.
The owners are Polish, Casper (chef) & Alisia, they are a delightful young couple & serve amazing cheap food.
We went 3 times, on each occassion it was fantastic fare.
Casper the chef speaks reasonable English & comes to introduce himself & discusses what you would like to eat.
He mainly serves sea food/shell fish & cooks it how you prefer, with his suggestions.
1st visit we both shared a fresh seafood salad which had octopus, mussels, clams, squid, prawns, flying calamari, lettuce, tomatoe onion etc. Second course was vongole pasta, this was spaggetti with day fresh mussels & clams, slight chilli as we had asked for & was great, more than plenty. We also had beautiful home made foccacia bread with olive oil & balsamec vinegar, yummy. The €7 bottle of red sangovise wine, slightly chilled was superb yeh & only €7.
Total cost €38. Unbelievable.
Our second visit was equally good with great starters & whole oven baked sea bream for mains.
Could go on & on about this place, but surfice to say, try it the new owners are lovely. Even giving us 2 complimentary homemade panacota's which we struggled to eat because we were so full.
Our last day whilst waiting to be picked up for the airport was spent here eating the best carbonara ever follwed by tempura seafood & veggies.
This meal including 2 glasses of Aperol spritz, iced coffee, 2 bottles of water & 2 miniture bottles of grappa. €32.
They really need to put their prices up.
DO NOT BE PUT OFF THESE NEW OWNERS ARE FANASTIC
Good luck & best wishes.
