"Pizzeria Tony" looks like a takeout place, but has seating behind the cooking area. The staff were superb, especially Tony who allowed our children to enjoy his dough workmanship from up close. Tony speaks pretty decent English (has a brother who works in a high end restaurant in London).
We ate there two nights, and the quality and value blew us away on an otherwise expensive trip round Pompeii and Rome. Our 9 year old, the family's resident pizza expert, believes Tony to produce the best pizza he has ever eaten. And he ate plenty of it. The 47 year old, overweight as he is, would caution that a Half Metre portion really is just about too much, a little over-ambitious as a supper. Fortunately, I didn't break the train to Rome with my engorged weight the following day.
Credit to Tony - he does one thing, and he does it very well indeed. Highly recommended (and slightly amazed it's not on here until now ?! Good google reviews etc).
